That's my point, many games are being watched on unauthorised streams, it's very difficult to block them all, so as long as it's on live somewhere, then it's likely it will be streamed. I think the FA will give up trying to block them and will instead switch to making sure they get some money out of it.
meeting hull city this week regarding this as they have "warned" me about my streaming audio .. they are not blanket banning it but actually want to discuss it properly .. if you have any constructive opinions then please email me on [email protected]
wont happen , as I have said I am meeting hull city this week to discuss it .. one thing I will pretty much be a certainty is that it will cost you money .. they are open to dialogue but you will no longer get a free service that much is certain
Yeah that sucks big time. Pisses me off that despite paying the ****ing license fee, I can't listen to BBC Radio Humberside online. They're clever enough to check and confirm location based IPs, so can't see why the **** I can't listen to RH from down here. I paid for Tigerplayer for 1 year. Never again. Mussie moans about Sky, but you get what you pay for with them, I have no choice in paying the BBC and get **** all off them. Bastards.
I seriously don't understand why I'm expected to pay extra to someone to listen to a BBC Radio station, which I'm already paying for, apparently. If you point that out Dazed, also point out that compared to the crap Tiger Player, your stream actually works. It's bad enough being gouged to pay for something that you've already paid for, but when its so ****e its not funny...well you know. Good luck too!
Did anyone else get this worthless apology on email? "We would like to apologise for the recent Tigers Player issues that you may have experienced. To apologise for any inconvenience caused, we have credited your account with a free month's access to the service. This has been added to the end of your current subscription period. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and support. Kind Regards, Hull City" So instead of my subscription ending at the end of the season, I now get a free month to include july/august (ie the closed season) Hmmm?
It depends how big a bung the FA get out of it. Some one come up with a big enough one we will get live streaming.
He has got a point, the free month should be during the season not at the end of it when there is no point having Player anyway
Good luck Dazed .. So many people over the sea depend on your great site for radio commentary .. You deserve a medal for the work you do.
There was talk a while back about cutting local radio commentary from the BBC as it was costing too much and listened to by too few. Maybe the money they receive from Tigers Player and the like are what is keeping local sports commentary going and it would be cut without it. For what it's worth I agree with you, it should be free. The relative cost to the BBC for local sports commentary must be negligible compared to the millions they spend on crappy soaps and reality shows.
This is ridiculous, I already live outside the broadcast range (which by the way is a joke, why can't I listen to the games if I'm not in East Yorkshire?) so why are the club now taking down the only way I can listen on a Saturday? If the club aren't going to do something about us never being on the telly, then at least let us have an alternative to Tigers Player. Or, even better, make changes to it. For example: - Make it free for season ticket holders. If we can't get to an away game, we should be able to listen to/watch it for free. - Put up a live stream, with commentary from actual fans so that we can watch the game instead of just listening. - Try a little bit harder with news; why is it that we find stuff out waaaaayyyy before the media get hold of it? When we were in the process of signing Nick P, the German papers knew it before we did. If we were the interested party, then why weren't we in the know before they were? Suppose it's just the insiders being selective with their info, they probably did know. - Have some behind the scenes features, eg. A day in the life of James Chester, show us around the managers offices and tunnels, half time team talks, post match dressing room banter etc. (NB. Not sure if they already do this, but if they don't, then they should....)
They do things similar before the season starts. I always wondered why they stopped once the season started.
