Just watched the news & MOTD2 about Liverpool v Man Utd. There was a clip of someone being interviewed at the Kop end. Behind the interviewee is an enormous 'poster/advertising thingy' attached to the Kop which clearly says ' WE COME NOT TO PLAY Is that the famous scouse wit in evidence? Thanks Good night.
no, you may not ask a question about liverpool. oh, hang on, you already did. without even waiting for permission. i bet you were going to ask it whether we gave you permission or not. you rude anarchist!
Off topic slightly but I have to say I kind of back the Utd fans in this issue. Yes Hillsborough is a total tragedy permeated by the disgraceful acitons of not only the incompetent but inhumance actions of the police but why does nobody ever mention Heysel? It's like it is completely brushed under the carpet as a minor incident where the loveable cheeky rogues had an off-day. They behaved like that around Europe for a decade and nobody ever batted an eyelid to the extent that something like this was tragically inevitable. The true tragedy is that their actions wholly led to the deaths of innocent opposition fans.
to be fair , once my horse has bolted i just want to put my riding boots away too :/ play with your own sticky bean
Sounds a bit like Hull FC fans claiming we bought their kits and started pitch invasions at their matches.
"We come not to play" links to "We come to win" nothing else. I accept that scousers often moan about everyone else but their own, but thats life. I also accept that Liverpool has had a bad time of things over the years. It does do my head in a bit when someone always has to be blamed for anything that goes wrong. Hillsborough is different. Those with the power lied and the blame was put on the innocent. As for the rest of it, we are back to the chants debate and I dont see the need to revisit that thread.
The really stupid thing is he got almost all the decisions right, the red card was debatable but it was very difficult, especially given the massive grey area in the rules about tackling.
I whole heartedly agree with this. On another tack, I think it is absolutely disgraceful that Liverpool fans swarmed Twitter wishing referee Mark Halsey had died from his cancer. He had a long hard battle and almost died in 2008/2009. Referee? Yes, Decent Human Being? Yes. Liverpool want the entire country to cry for "their 96", but when it is anyone else, it doesn't count. Scouse ****s.
^^^ me too...and much as it pains me to say it, Boris Johnson was pretty near to the mark in my opinion
