"complete liability" for this one red card this season? Why wasnt everyone calling him a liability in any of our other games this season His red this time wasnt 10% of the challenge Luiz got a yellow for at the weekend. Sad reality is that if he makes one mistake in a season he is labelled by our fans as a liability. As ive said before, a lot of our fans forget everything good he's done for one mustake
Just watched it he was making a brilliant break out of defence carrying the ball at speed. The ball got ahead of him slightly and he went in with his studs showing to try to get the ball. He caught the lad and in the rules of the game now he had to go. Still not gonna hang him for that!
Maybe harsh, but would you be 100% confident he would keep his cool in a pressure situation, or simply not do something stupid like tonight (or the 1st minute against the scum like last season?) By the way, just seen the sending off on Ssn and it doesn't look good from his point of view. I respect your opinion, but mines differs with regard to Cattermole.
Was a bit naughty weren't it, but not malicious, and not really a rush of blood, just an ill judged lunge at keeping possession. He's a silly boy, nothing more, and we are a better team when he plays.
From what i seen it was never a red Stuart Atwell was ****, a utter disgraceful referee to both teams
That's fair mate, couple of times I've given it the '****ing sick of the twat, get rid' line. Then I see how gutless we are without him, and I forgive. This season he has been superb, and that was a challenge any midfielder would have went into to try keep possession, he just got it wrong.
I'm defending him mate, but in the game today unless you don't clearly get the ball going in like that it's always a card. He didn't miss the ball by much and I don't think he went for the player. Just tried to keep the ball. But he missed the ball so a card was guaranteed.
He's out of the derby now. Whether that's a good or bad thing, only time will tell. From a mag point of view I'd rather he plays, purely for disciplinary reasons with the occasion being why it is. Gardner as a footballer will do a good job there for you though if he gets the nod.
Alright mate, aye I get home next week until the 8th of nov then I'm away again until 16th of dec so it's timed itself perfectly to be home for Christmas this year like.
Defensive midfielder or not, he loses the ball with stray passes far too much for my liking which in my opinion affects our attacking play greatly. Regardless of my opinions about his [lack of] footballing ability, he will always have my full support at games because he gives 100% effort every time he plays.
PM me with the times Jackie is off while you are here, might be able to arrange something, still have a couple of leiu days. If not we'll make it over the Christmas holidays then, .
We debated this a few weeks ago an a thread, at the time I said that he should be judged on his actions going forward but that he was walking a tightrope. He obviously has a reputation(possibly deserved) and refs judge him based on that but he and MON must be aware of that. The result of his action tonight is that he misses the away game at the champions and won't lead us in the biggest game of the year again the scum. My opinion? Replace him as captain....what's the point of having someone who is supposed to lead the team, if he is not there when the team need him most. It may also take that pressure off him, as no doubt, he feels extra pressure to lead from the front, which seems to be too much for him.
Only less rich. You are what you are mate, we all have good & bad points. I remember Alex Rae having to take anger management courses. I've took them myself & it only works to a certain degree. I got shifted off mine to somewhere else for ending up in a barney over a game of brag.
