Alright chaps I see Seb Larsson has joined Adam Johnson, Phil Bardsley, Wes Brown and Carlos Cuellar on the treatment table. With only 5games gone this season we are already worrying about injuries and after what happened 2years ago when we were 6th or 7th at new year and ended 10th because of all the injuries and the injuries that occurred last year it looks again like the club have not covered there back and MoN has let that be known by talking about the January window as well as looking at bringing players in who are currently free agents.

We are not even into October yet and MoN has a selection headache with the injuries, Fraizer Campbell will also miss the trip due to injury not that that matters as the lad needs to go he is absolute garbage but it looks like Sess or one of the central midfielders will have to go and play there. Sess can play there without a doubt but what if he was firing on all cylinders in his best role behind the striker? We would have to change the shape of our side because we have left ourselves short in the transfer window.

IMO a premier league club having 3 wingers is not enough, you need strength in depth and we are certainly 2 or 3 bodies short, I spoke in the summer about us needing 2 wingers and we only brought in one and now its looking like we did need two.

Anyone think Aiden McGeady could be on our wishlist for either the Jan (maybe loan with view to permanent in summer) or a summer transfer?

Not McGeady mate he was rubbish at the Euros and looked like a slower version of McClean as is now. Before we splash out on players maybe we should look at the back room staff and get to the cause of all these injuries. I'll hold my hands up and say that I thought it was SBs staff and methods that caused most of them. It probably did cause some but, the physics and fitness people need to be sorted now.
The team is not a million miles away from being decent and we have 4 wingers at the club, left McClean and Rose on the right Seb and Johnson.

I agree I thought McGeady was rubbish in the Euro's but that was 3games, anyone can have a poor 3 games and its looking very likely he wants to come back to the UK and I would not be surprised if MoN was interested

yes you can class Danny Rose as a winger and thats were I would play him in the cup but its then a case of playing people out of position with Colback moving to left back.

we need 3 players in January to beef up the squad and bring players playing out of position to an end.

Not sure playing players out of position will ever end mate, for that to happen we'd need to splash some serious cash. Thing is with a 25 man squad it is possible to have decent cover for all areas, it'll just be a case of keeping the second string or cover players happy not an easy task for any team.

Agree he's class, him or Matty Phillips would fit in well.

Ince will be at a champions league club in 3 or 4 years

Can't see it myself, the kid is decent prospect but can't see him ever playing at that level . Have watched him a few times now , including last night and like I say a decent young player but dosn't show enough to suggest he can take it to the highest level. Would be disappointed if we were after him because don't see him strengthening the first team squad.
