Premiere Team of the week as seen on Sky Sports .......... Ta dah,

Includes none other than our very own Perchinio, selected for his all round "Jack of all Trades" versatility and his contribution to Newcastles clean sheet against Norwich.

Credit where credit's due, well done Perchy.
Nice to see more and more of our players featuring in "team of the Week" type polls, shows we mist be doing something's right, watch this space for Cisse to be selected for scoring hat-fulls. Lol

Heard a rumour that Perchinio is being put forward for a Knighthood for his services to football.

Good on him, fully deserved from what I saw but others could have quite easily sneaked in instead but like you say credit where its due. #PERCHINIHOLOVE

Good to see him getting the recognition.
Hopefully it will boost him up even more.

I remember the Florists laughing at us signing him. A penny for their thoughts now

Different coco yesterday. Seamless transition between right back and midfield, then back again. Superb squad member these days. How long before he starts to make selection, when everyone is fit and firing, difficult? To be honest he is best in defensive midfield, we seem to function better and Cabaye certainly improves. I still want Tiote back, but Perchino is starting to ask a serious question in there. He must be loving the song from the stands now, It was vociferous and special at times yesterday.

I've heard Mano Menezes is checking his grandparents

Did I say a penny for their thoughts

"Couldn't give a **** to be perfectly honest.
perch, commons, tyson, chambers etc. Can all **** off as soon as they leave our club in exactly the same way as I couldn't give a **** about any other player before they join forest. Unfortunately I felt this way too about Andy Reid when he left, and later when he moved to Blackpool I'd have spat on him before caring about what he was up to. Now he's back I like him again and am pleased for this.
This has only a very small handful of exceptions - Stuart Pearce, Stan Collymore, Des Walker and maybe one or two others... but all of which, legends of our club.
Do I care how he's doing at Newcastle....no.
He can rot in piss for all I care.
    "

Oh dear, I think seeing Perch's rising form has triggered some of the 5 stages of grief, anger is demonstrated above, pun-tastic denial below

"I still think he'll end up at gill-ingham. If he was still here, I don't think he'd command a starting plaice."

This... I argue that he's been our most consistent player this season..... I actually contemplated getting his name on my shirt until someone pointed out that ts quite possible he might take over the planet and I would be deemed a follower,,,,,,,

Seriously though I feel that we can rely on him in dm, lb, rob and cb if we need...... He's now my second favourite player behind hba..... Anyone see his tackle against Norwich where he nearly broke his leg bugs he walked off with a slight limp when clearly he was hurting..... I heard the slap and he got up and walked off when the ther player couldn't move......

In a 4-2-3-1 formation Perch is a member of our strongest 11 IMO. Him & Tiote would be our strongest DM pairing without a doubt, they both put their bodies on the line, are very strong in the tackle and both tend not to over complicate things when in possession (other than Tiote morphing in to Messi on the edge of our own box yesterday in the last minute of the game).

Reading this thread, I think I must have been abducted by aliens and had by memory tampered with.
This is James Perch, yes? The man what shat himself against the Zog vs Wigan?

No seriously, fair play to him. He has really turned things around and proved the doubters (me included) very wrong.

I'm off to get a very large slice of humble pie. mmmmmmmmmm

Was chatting to a lad at work tonight who's a Manure fan, very knowledgable and basically the Manure equivalent to all of us (in that he trawls the internet looking for anything and everything to do with his club) ... Apparently Man Utd had lads looking at him after he produced a massive performance for Forrest against them in the CC. Although this might have been little more than "he played well tonight, have a watch of him for me" - the interest must've been big enough to get back to the fans.

    Seriously?!

For us though, he had a monster game against Jonas. And we thought it was a great signing, the Forest fans came over and laughed at us , said they didn't like him anyway, we thought they were being sour grapes. He starts the season starting at RB, escapes with a few reckless challenges, one of which didn't result in a penalty against Wolves(Matt Jarvis). Gradually his poor play gets exposed and we dislike him more and more until he becomes the target for everything we blame. Throughout all this, he works himself back into the team and possibly Geordie Folklore(??) and is probably now giving Pardew selection headaches! When we had all given up hope of him being anything useful! At the end of the day, all we can say is

    We've got Perchino
