A thought just occurred to me... he is up for getting involved. Why don't Town take him on as defensive coach? Steve Bould has done wonders for Arsenal and he was half the player Mills was.

No idea what he is like as a coach, alot of the best players don't make the best managers/coaches as we have found out. But he certainly talks alot of sense on things Ipswich, infact I don't think I've heard anyone talk more sense about ITFC than him!!

Good idea there Tone to put the club mascot in charge of your shower.

But you buy plenty of tickets each season so you know your own club best.

Mick Mills was sacked by Stoke and Colchester during his brief foray into management, but as a coach and general influence about the place he might be good.

Russell Osman should have some ideas on this!

Other than Burley's brief stint, have any of our ex players had any success in either management or coaching? I honestly can't think of one that's had some relative success.

relative to Keane and Jewel, Magilton was successful, and i think he was in the process of really building a successful side. May never have got us promoted and could just be nostalgia but finishing 8th is dream land right now

Mogga's done well. Mariner not so much.

Mills was a coach at Brum for a while... Mauricio Taricco is doing very nicely with Gus Poyet at Bwighton.

I'm hoping Fab comes good, bless him he hates narwich more than me :)
