He's pretty much the go-to ref for big games like yesterday now where he had a top game. To return from cancer to top level refereeing at the age of 51 is an incredible achievement. On the subject of Mike Dean did you see him in a full on sprint to keep up with Mario Balotelli yesterday, he looked like he was treading water.

He's only been involved in the reserves for ages. Would be very unfair to put him in the way of Luke Shaw too. He's unlikely to get into the first team. Shame, as I always thought he was a good player, but he'll probably just be let go at the end of his contract. It would be a bit pointless to play him if he's not part of our plans.
There are some right bastards giving Halsey stick on twitter. Liverpool fans who are angry about his decisions in yesterdays match. He got most of the big decisions rights so they are just bitter. Their comments are totally out of order though. They are making disgusting comments about his cancer battle. I won't go into details because the comments are so vile. These people should be banned from football stadiums for life.
According to the BBC he has referred it to the police now and hopefully it is dealt with swiftly. In other referee capers, Lee Probert of dodgy tackle fame is doing game at Everton on Saturday.
These "fans" probably complained and got angry about people's vile comments about Hilsborough too. Then less than a week later say stuff like this and all that after Halsey had a good game and got the big decisions right.
Just in case you didn't know:- If scores are level at the end of 90 minutes, half-an-hour of extra time will be played. If no winner can be determined during that period, a penalty shootout will take place. The draw if we need it, is after the TV game on Wednesday finishes.
