"I'd love us to make an example of the two that made plane gestures. Ban them both for life and put their picture on the club website too. However, I suspect there will be rules and regulations against doing this too"

    Absolutely.

    If they exist.....<whistle>

Margaret is of course spot on with her comment frank.

And she and 95 other families know more than anyone that yesterday was a celebration of justice for the 96 and of the truth, for 23 long years we've had to face hate as a club and as people because of lies and hearsay and false statements, yesterdays ending of proceedings at Anfield was blanket coverage of hearsay by the press that would leave a neutral observer to believe that we/our supporters caused the despicable 'response' from the Utd fans.

The only 'proof' that the two Liverpool fans that supposedly/allegedly made gestures is 'a witness said', no name no interview etc, as a local i've had years of **** and snide comments aimed at me on holiday/working out of town etc based on the lies about Hillsborough and it pisses me off that the press still haven't learned from the vile lies and mistakes of the S*n when basing stories related to LFC on hearsay.

Even so, there must be cctv (or a bobby's eye-witness account) and this cretin needs to be named and shamed (and banned for life). Bring on the evidence.

I agree, but if the police were doing their job properly(which i don't doubt)the twat would have faced a charge of breach of the peace or using foul and offensive actions, he didn't though.
Surely if the twat made 'airplane' gestures he would have at least had his name taken and cautioned before getting his arse kicked out of the ground?

If the coppers have got his name they should name and shame him and the club should ban the **** for life.

    IF.

If he made 'offensive' gestures in the ground, especially as it was emptying, it would be on cctv. And possibly SkySports, as they caught the United fans' response. Name and shame, put up or shut up. Let's see what he did to provoke hundreds, if not thousands of United fans to respond as they did.

Why would Merseyside police say that someone was ejected for making offensive gestures at the United fans if it's not true? What's in it for them?

    That's not what I asked.

Dong said "IF" he made offensive gestures. Why would Merseyside police say that he made offensive gestures if it wasn't true?

Not to derail another tit for tat beginning but I will be really annoyed if the police as they have stated NOF ejected a fan for making offensive gestures his name was not taken f& passed to the club to ban. It may not have been a criminal offence by their standards but if (the police haven't specified the gesture in that report) if it is an airplane and they just sent him on his way then the club needs to give the police a bollocking. So no justification NOF just logic. Can't condemn & ban someone without specific facts. Haven't had them yet, just speculation. As many have posted all to happy if the police & stewards actually do their job properly & give the club enough to get rid permanently.

Now, I'm also hoping your club can use the pictures & ban those. They can identify (I know they aren't going to get all who sang & you can't blanket ban because some unfortunates are in among them but examples can & should be made by both clubs.

Personally I think both sets of fans are a bunch of ****s.

Year in year out it's the same old arguments in the name of 'rivalry'

Rivalry in sport should be healthy, but your sets of fans take the piss and use the deceased as a tool to batter the other with.

****ing disgusting, rivalry my arse, pure bigotted hatred hidden under the name of Football.

I feel for the deceased and their families who have a set of common ****s using their loved ones as a means to taunt other dead people due to association.

Both sets of fans should **** off somewhere together and butt fuk each other and leave the football to the rest of us and allow us to actually respect the dead for being human, nothing more

No doubt the rest of football will see this butt fuking by both sets of fans next season aswell...please why don't you both fuk off, you don't love football, you don't love LFC you don't love MUFC....infact your glad you have something to taunt the other with and revel in it ...<ok>

Honest fans with loved ones who actually understand death and can see beyond a shirt....I do not mean you at all..

You are again side-stepping the issue, still attempting to find ways of blaming Liverpool fans over the actions of your own supporters. Its ''But you started it first''. You also seem to have a selective memory too. I'm not at all suggesting that Liverpool fans didn't sing ''who's that dying on the runway''. What you've failed to mention is that Manchester United fans in September 1981 at Anfield sang ''Who's that dying on the carpet'' in reference to Bill Shankly.

So in effect, I would advise you to use the facts instead of more biased nonsense.

Ah Spurlock; your usual standard of generalised bull****. You really are the Internet version of a 3 year old temper tantrum. Worse you seem to confuse yourself in your generalisation.

You started by lumping us all in together with these morons (failing to read those threads again before your beginning your casual hissy fit.) You then seem to realise you were talking ****e by the end and tagged on a "don't mean you all" which in reality to anyone with half a brain should actually say "don't mean the majority of you"

Jason Mcateer a witness statement "2 idiots provoked the ManUtd fans into singing a stupid song. Not saying that it's right but they were provoked into singing it"
Can we all just let it lie now?
