Im thinking its gotta be the old 442 for wigan. Id give McClean a start against Mk Dons and if he doesn't have a stormer id drop him. Id play Saha and Wickham up top and whoever does best partners fletcher on Saturday. Surely Johnson will be fit, id have him and Sess swapping flanks Im a big fan of colback but id move seb into the middle next to catts. For Wigan atm ...........................Mig........................... Gardner....oshea.....bramble......Rose Johnson..larsson..cattermole..sessegnon ................Fletcher...Saha..........................
Couldnt agree more !!! and furthermore I think some of you good folks on here, need to get a bloody grip !!! For crying out loud had we hung on for an extra 60 seconds on Saturday we wouldnt be having this hysteria on here !! Remember we are still unbeaten and alot of our results has been as a result of individual poor performances ( McClean and Sess )rather than the counter attacking policy we have adopted..I mean for gods sake...MON was right after Sat's match, Vaughan should have put us two up and we did have other chances. Folks Calm down !!!!!
I think though that to have led in 3 out of 4 games (2 away from home as well) and then failed to win any of them IS a little concerning. Managers, pundits and such like place so much emphasis on getting that first goal being all important and yet we do it 3 out of 4 times and still cant win. Its completely imaterial at what timw the equaliser came on Saturday, we play too deep and cant possibly defend for 60 mins like its the Alamo and not expect to concede. With a little more ambition, we could have and maybe should have beaten Swansea after leading twice and West Ham after scoring in the first 10 mins. It would have given us 8 points from 4 games and put us up in the top 8, which is exactly where we want to be. That would have consitituted a cracking start and really got the ball rolling for the season. As it stands, we have had a moderate start that can still go one way or the other in the next 2 or 3 games, where a must win Wigan game is followed by a mammoth away game at Man City and then the unpredictable derby where tbh, our home results have not blessed us in glory much in the last 40 years. A draw in the derby and a defeat at City are highly likely forecasts and then even if do we beat Wigan, we will only have 8 points from 7 games. Not a panic by any stretch but a concern that we sit too deep and invite such trouble as last minute goals conceded and it leaves us playing catch up very early in the season when it should have been better. Not negative - I'm a fully committed MoN fan but surely we can debate the finer points on here without being accused of doom and gloom? We are far away from a doom and gloom scenario.
i remember villa fans wanting mon out well they got their wish can someone tell me what villa have achieved since. please get real.
As far as I can see only one numb tit has said get rid of MoN this weekend and they were rightly put to the sword? You are inventing a wave of sympathy that just doesnt exist for the managers head? Why? MoN is the best managerial thing to happen to this club in my lifetime and I am an unashamed fan of the bloke but surely we can debate issues like grown men without this kind of reaction.
AJ on the left wing, with Mcclean on the bench. Larsson on the right. Want to see Meyler in the middle (add some height to our midfield) and Colback at LB. I also want to see us play the ball along the ground more, as we are not strong in the air.
Id deffo go with a 442 formation....AJ if hes fit on the left. Drop young McClean (what with his Twitter rants, the kids startin to believe his own hype) put Sess on the left and start Fletcher and Saha up front. Possibly replace Colback with Laarson in Midfield
Don't refer to me as a Numb Tit - I was stating how it really was when MON left Villa. You must be a total f***ing prick for that matter!!!! Ar$ehole!! Bart
I think he was reffering to Monty987. If so, you should apologise. Villa escaped relegation last season and are down among the dead men again. Let's hope they (and the liar) go down.
