I could say the same about Chelsea and City. Infact thats what I think regarding Chelsea. Nothing they have done is very impressive tbh. Thing is all 3 teams are winning games while at about 75% of our actual abilities. United will be top 4, top 2 even. My opinion and all the signs are there for a typical United title is that we will win it. Slow and steady until late November and then while everyone else fluffs it over the winter we will drive on and do what we do best.

When are you ever going to buy that midfield player you have needed for 3 years? We got rid of G&H, how are the Glazers doing with their asset stripping? How much of the share dealings money goes right into their pockets? You had 4 managers during the reign of Sir Bob Paisley, how many more will you go through before you taste success again? To date, we have both had the same number of managers in our history, 18. So to be honest, there is not much between the clubs at any level, apart from Liverpool having by far the better fans, who are sans prawn butties, and with added songs and supporting. But honours and managerial records are neck and neck, and if you are not honestly worried about the abyss that possibly awaits you once Fergie retires, you must have the most rosiest tinted specs possible. It must be 20 years since Man Utd finished outside the top 3 (during which time they've only finished outside the top 2 a couple of times). Its easy to see them challenging again this year, I'd say there's only Chelsea who might have a chance of breaking the Manchester clubs for the top 2 but i don't think that will happen. Anyone laying money on them finishing outside the top 4 must have more money than sense.
