You have got to be blind. Alot has been said about the tackle but Evans looking like he could break Shelveys leg. Not a chance.
This is a real deal 50/50 where ref bias has interrupted what should have been just a free kick at best. That is the whole point of this thread and the evidence you have just put up UIR proves that beyond doubt.
We need stronger refs in this league. Not ones who will make game changing decisions to be popular with Fergie and the media. Its a joke that Shelvey was sent off and anyone who cant see that must be as biased or blind as the ref.
A joke Shelvey was sent off? It was harsh I agree but still a red. However lets go back a few minutes to when he should of got a yellow earlier in the game for a poor tackle on Rafael. So he got away with that one somewhat and the next one is a lunge at Evans. Deserved to go for either a straight red as he did or if we are being kind, 2 yellows.

Except real life doesn't work like that. If Shelvey had been carded for fouling Rafael then I doubt he would have gone in like that on Evans.
That was nasty from Shelvey he knew what he was upto there, deffo a red to me and I hate both clubs. Also Shelvey was not favourite to get that ball until he did that lunge so he had to get off the floor to get the ball and was not in any way in control of that tackle, reckless which is red in the offical rules.
Geordie fan in peace....I have seen the tackle a number of times and believe that it was a good strong tackle by both players where if one gets a card the other should. Cast your minds back to man city Newcastle where De Jong snaps Ben arfas leg clean in two.... That was a red card and yet he we didn't even get a free kick.... on a side note from what I hear the pen wasn't a pen.
