Bob Fernley says 4th place was a "genuine pace result" and "the safety car came at the right time [for Di Resta]". It was a good race from Di Resta but it wasn't amazing. Still won't stop all the Di Resta ass-kissing, unfortunately.

Paul was running that high before the SC wasn't he? 6th then Hamilton and Maldonado retiring. The BBC do go over the top with him but it was a very good drive. Cant take that from him.

Qualified 6th when his team-mate didn't get out of Q3, beat lots of good cars and scored his highest points finish in F1 in a Force India that's looked poor all season. Actually I think you're being quite unfair, di Resta did very well this weekend.

Lewis seemed quite chirpy, 6 races left, 6 wins needed. Seb just needs wins and podiums. Alonso podiums and a few 4th's and 5'ths.

Gutted but **** happens. Good win for Vettel and I now think the championship is over for Lewis. But if Mclaren knew about the gearbox before the race then why the hell didn't they take the penalty?!

Far from over for Lewis, he has the car to attack Alonso's lead I believe.

Wonder if Hamilton has won (back) many fans this year.

Harder to overtake in Singapore maybe?.. A pole is better.

It might have been a decision Hamilton took with the team.

Because if this was last year, he'd have lost his head in Malaysia and probably been behind Button now. He's driving and talking alot better this year. Like he was in 07/08.

If Hamilton changed the gearbox he'd still have to race on it at some point this season, the team obviously thought it would hold. It happens. I remember in 2009 Vettel took a 10-place grid drop for changing to a ninth engine and that blew up, you just can't predict these things.

He's come back pretty strong this year... Just doesn't have the luck to go with it.

    *luck?

I think if he was like this from the start, then maybe. If he goes from Mclaren, he will lose loads.
