I think MON is a brilliant manager...Always will..Bet he's as gutted as we are tonight.
Thing is he puts a team out..On paper, a good team. Yet when they get on the pitch they cant pass??? It's a bloody basic in Football.
The worrying thing for me is I cant say anyone wasn't trying...Everyone was just, lacking.
    Very Worrying.

Just the timing of O'Neil's bizarre comment made me laugh <laugh> Pretty certain he will be the only person thinking they should have won.

Haway lads...no need to start pressing the panic button yet. Yes we are playing awful...but we are unbeaten and dispite playing crap we are getting points. When players start to pick up form and Johnson has a decent run in the side we will be fine.

Now now flanders lets not be having any of this positive malarky you should know better than that, we are Sunderland and we are 4 games in just surprised it took this long.

i dont see anyone panicking mate. Just raising concerns which based on our 4 performances so far (Fletcher apart) have been worryingly poor.

I am full of positive attiude kidda and think in MoN we have the best manager for 50 years but if and when things are poor I should be allowed to comment surely without fear of condemnation? No-one is over reacting but there have been some very sensible and positive threads and comments imo.

we played the same last year no one was complaining when the rsults were important martin has brought in imo 5 good signings but otherwise it is the squad from last year there is no magic wand we dont keep the ball as well as most premier league sides so we make up for that in workrate and orginisation,o,neill no fool he knows whats reqd and with afew more astute signings over a couple of seasons i believe he wll bring succ<ok>ess

I did but at Villa they didn't just sit back at 1-0 and hope for the best. My concern is the lack of shots we seem to be generating in games. We are not an attacking force in any shape or form and rather than counter attack, we are a backs to the wall team.

    That wont work at all.

Some people give you stick but, looking back through old threads while I'm off sick, is quite entertaining and you come out of it very well.

It was during this run of games <doh>

    2 Dec: Norwich 2-1 Sunderland
    27 Nov: Sunderland 0-0 QPR
24 Nov: Sunderland 2-4 West Brom
    18 Nov: Fulham 1-3 Sunderland
    10 Nov: Everton 2-1 Sunderland
3 Nov: Sunderland 0-1 Aston Villa
30 Oct: Sunderland 0-1 Middlesbrough (League Cup)
    27 Oct: Stoke 0-0 Sunderland
    21 Oct: Sunderland 1-1 Newcastle
6 Oct: Man City 3-0 Sunderland

Doesn't that bring back some terrible memories ....... I was at the Boro match and walked out thinking the club had totally lost it's heart.

O'Neill was saying we were in a relegation fight which is at odds with people who reckon he would never have taken us down.
