Tottenham v QPR (16:00 BST) Continue reading the main story âResults convince players as well as fans that the manager is the right guy, which I really do think Andre Villas-Boas is. They have just got to let him get on with it â Tottenham had a good win over Reading last week, and showed the quality they have got in their squad. Emmanuel Adebayor cannot be far away from being fit too so they will soon have even more firepower, although Jermain Defoe looks like he has a goal in him every time he plays at the moment. Andre Villas-Boas has had a tricky start to his time as Spurs boss and much was made of his wait for his first win but I don't think he was ever under any pressure whatsoever from his chairman Daniel Levy. Now he has won a game, things will be easier for him on the training ground. I'm not saying the players didn't respect him before they beat Reading but results convince players as well as fans that the manager is the right guy, which I really do think he is. They have just got to let him get on with it. QPR, meanwhile, are improving slowly. They got a good draw against Chelsea last week and I am sure they will be fine in terms of avoiding another relegation struggle, but I just cannot see them leaving White Hart Lane with anything. Prediction: 2-1
Wouldnt take to make notice of what Mark Lawrenson thinks. I looked at his selections a fair bit last season and his predictions at times are appalling. You would go skint very quicky if you followed him by betting on the results he thinks never mind getting the scores right.
Don't personally like Lawro but it's hard to disagree with what he says there. Whilst we are improving and SHOULD be fine come the end of the season (which he points out), Spurs are at home and coming off the back of a convincing win. They will certainly take the game to us.
Can't see what's wrong with what he's said to be honest. If Spurs were at home to say, West Brom, we wouldn't disagree with that write up. He's got it nailed on as far as I'm concerned (although I do wish he'd just come out!)
He was spot on! To be fair we were very lucky today, you definitely deserved a draw at the very least.
