Nah I doubt it. Kenny would know better than not put in a bid for a Manchester United player. Darren Fletcher isn't worth £2.5 million, let alone £25 million.

Granted we would be able to ask big money for certain players if they wanted out....but are you so confident (given our recent track record of absolutely bollocks dealings in the transfer market) that we'd not just make a complete twat of ourselves again with either the sales or the buying of replacements?

Kenny would have had a role in the purchases, anyone with sense would have run a mile at the prices quoted for the players he bought, suarez aside. I doubt that he had no clue about the fees involved. As much as Liverpool fans hate it, he only added to liverpools problems last season. Appointing him permanently was a major cock up.

Sarcasm doesn't do well in typed form, in case your being serious, I meant Stephen not Darren.

<laugh> I types we'll go for a top player but due to negotiations it'll be near the end of the window (like suarez) but hit a 100 character cap and had to edit about 5 times and just let anything go..

I was thinking on the list thing that either sturridge and dempesy were the targets ( which is not a nice thought seeing sturridge was not lined up at all) or others were targetted that we might go back for....i think though for a number 9 the squad has no-one so if we're not already working on that list then we'll be on a less than pleasing answer form the options above for most fans.

i'd just like to think that on jan 31 back when we reported got 30mil offer turned down for carroll kenny would have rung comolli and told him he was mad offering that and then comolli wnet and offered even more but i reckon kenny wanted the lad... i hope one day we find out.
