Casual Fan Has Been Banned

Sounds like a legend to me! Why did you ban him??

 

I didn't the supermod did. I just happen to think he was right to do it.

He was plain stupid going on the Newcastle board like he did. Why them for starters ? They don't wum on our board. Also, ladyboys. Really !! Asking for trouble putting that crap up anywhere.

As for our board, well I don't think he was one of us, always seem'd to take pleasure if something went against us.

I'm not for banning anyone based on the kind of stuff Casual posted on here, didn't see what he did on the Newcastle board so can't comment.

 

I like to walk the banning tight rope myself from time to time. I wish those responsible for banning members would realise that the forum has two user levels. Those who use it more socially and like a bit of banter and those who take it seriously and treat it like a second life. I can understand exactly why the latter get annoyed at the so called 'wums' because to them its an attack on something they care about. I think we all need to take a step back and just accept the forum for whatever it grows into and stop trying to control it.

Looks like quite a few are missing the point Ash. I could have just simply said nothing and let Casual go out of everyone's thoughts. Instead I've decided to let everyone know what happened out of respect to all our posters on here because I thought they had a right to know. Would everyone have preferred I took the easy option instead or be up front and honest about it all ?

Casual would not listen to reason, he was continually picking arguements with people. I had to empty my inbox on a daily basis because I was inundated with complaints about him. A lot on here don't like confrontation and pm instead and I understand fully why.

What do you do with someone that's been spoken to by 3 mods on here and a 4th from another board ?

I left him well alone. He followed me around looking for trouble. Ash and Mabon spoke to him. If you don't believe me ask them I'm sure they'll be happy to confirm it. I did not want him banned because I knew what it would look like and he probably knew that too. He pushed and pushed until he crossed the line.

You can think its a poor decision if you like and as I've said I'll respect your point of view, but just put yourself in my shoes, what would you have done ?

Sorry, but if that's a criteria, then trolls like Dragon would have been banished years ago. He deliberately goes on other boards and "picks arguments with other people" as well as on here. I 'unignored' him recently to look at his output on the Liverpool board following Rodgers's departure - it was embarrassing.

So the video showed ladyboys wearing mini skirts. Wow. I don't care whose decision it was but it's ridiculous and small minded. Dragon wasn't banned for calling me a "prick" and a "scumbag". Norway wasn't banned for blatantly homophobic comments aimed at me that had to be deleted by Ash. Yet someone who posts a video of ladyboys and is a bit abrasive at times is banned? Come on ffs!

Casual has never used that language on here as far as I'm aware and posts far more articulately than either of those two jokers who are about as useful to this forum as a genital wart.

I'm all for letting the mods do their job but won't stay silent when there's an injustice.

i agree with knackered here. he MAy have been a cardiff fan or he may have just been a pessimistic swansea fan, i read this board now and again and for me he was not the aggresor - whenever he posted anything it was '**** off back to the championship board' or 'you've been ousted' or 'we dont need any more threads on this'.

i think he said ' if you aint interested in what i post then ignore it' but people didnt and chose to pick arguments...

felt a bit sorry for him, if people are continually attacking you, its likely you'll insult back and then he gets a ban...... i dont see what issue people have with 'ladyboys' and so on when a few of you joke about it with regards to the cardiff malaysians.....

but also people should appreciate its a difficult task being a mod and you can never win whatever you do.

 

I find there are far worse posters than casual on all other teams boards, JH for example. But none of these have been banned. I'm gonna have to ask to bring him back, otherwise it would be unfair to ban one but let others remain. Opening a right can of worms. It would be less hassle on your behalf Dili to request an unban. Simply because you will now be expected to ban anyone who appears offensive.

 

Swamp, before I go any further got to ask how you're doing ?

As for Casual it's not just one thing it's numerous things over a long time. What can you do when someone just won't let up.

Aussie, I respect your view and I know all about your previous differences with certain other posters. That was then this is now. As you know I've asked all parties to tone it down and you have to be fair. If I see anyone being downright abusive to you rest assured that they will be spoken to and if need be I wouldn't hesitate to ask the supermod for a ban. Hopefully it won't come to this again.

 

If the verminous hughs is able to retain his place on the Cardiff Forum,there can only be one correct decision here,and that is to reinstate Casualfan.
He didn't deserve to be excluded in the first place.
Come on mods,do the right thing,and let him back in.
Of course,he may refuse.
I know I would.

I just asked for a ban and left it to him to decide what type.

He decided on a permanent ban from the whole site and I think the thread on Newcastle's board played a part in it.

Also, I wasn't the only one to ask for a ban I was just the first. There were 3 other requests too, so it wasn't only this board that he was causing upset on.
