Thought it would be fun to have a little poll!

Anyway, who was your MOTM? Mine would be Ramirez without doubt

    Steve Davis.

An incredible box to box display from a player that got stuck in and despite having chunks taken out of his leg he got up straight away with no fuss.

    An excellent display!

A really difficult one. Can't single out one player.

He was pure class, his vision, touch and passing was World Class.

Close one between Clyne and Ramirez but I'm giving it to Clyne. Fantastic 2nd half performance.

Well that's a view that directly contradicts what I saw and heard from everyone sat around me. Did two good things - one shot just wide, and another deflected in. Otherwise, wasted a lot of possession

Worst attacking player on the pitch for us in my opinion. Thought he was decent but the others were excellent particularly Ramirez and Lambert.

worst isn't the right word here, perhaps least effective. he played well don't get me wrong

Obviously not. Either way, of course there are no votes for him, if you thought he was better than Ramirez, Davis or Clyne you're clueless.

Clyne for me , he was excellent defending and attacking . He also looked as comfortable on the left as he did on the right. Great performance

I thought he looked pretty good early in the second half when we could have folded and his pace and cute through balls caused Villa some problems. I thought Ramirez was pretty quiet in the first half.

Rickie for me for his all round performance, his knock downs in the first half went completely wasted because no one was anticipating them, he even took responsibility at the back when we showed signs of cocking it up at the Corners from the left. Ramirez just got better and better, had he scored it would have been no contest!

    Ramirez easily for me.

Yes, Ramirez was more quiet in the first half but Saints were as a whole. Even then still stood out to me as one of the bright spots. The pass to Lallana was wrongly ruled offside was probably the highlight of the half, or at least should have been.

Saw only the second halve but looking at that it just has to be Ramirez indeed, closely followed by RL and AL.
Also think Nigel´s tactics worked out very well this time: with Ramirez up front and Davis and Schneiderlin as the control on midfield. For the first time this season a great support of defence.

Tough call. I thought Fonte and Yoshida were unsung heroes today. Lambert was good but his passing went astray a few times; same with Lallana. Davis and Morgan looked great together again, but just edged today by Gaston Ramirez because he left a trail of class oozing behind him.

Personally I thought Punch was sloppy in play, simple passes going astray, crosses straight into defenders, and I believe it was him mucking around with the ball which ended up with them scoring. Credit where its due he got back into the game, funny enough when Mayuka started warming-up he knew he had to turn it on a little. I thought he done ok, but he's now got Mayuka closely breathing down his neck so interesting to see what Adkins has planned.. Good win, Clyne for MOTM. Ramirez was just plain naughty..top top player! :)

I only saw the second half and on that basis my vote goes to Gaston Ramirez.
