We take off Mikel and bring on Lamps and with in minutes we score, says it all really, Mikel is nowhere near good enough for us. thiers nothing wrong with Lamps, I agree with some of the posters that he's not the super Frankie of old and cant play 90+ mins of every game, but play him along side any one but Mikel and he can still be a very importent player for us. All you posters saying he's too slow and he's finnished need to back off KTBFFH
always rated Mikel - 'possibly' as one of the worst ever player in the league let alone Chelsea... Had it been any other player on Nando's pass would have drilled it and it had to be Mikel for us..
i agree mate Mikel is a good player when he's at it when he's not he holds the team up sadly Lamps and Ramires should play these roles Ramires has the all round game to do it plus he offers more going forward .

I have to agree with Purley. I'm not a big fan of Mikel but I thought he had a very good game. He did what he was meant to, regain possession and pass it off to a more creative player.
Stoke didn't threaten once in the last few minutes when Mikel was not playing... Can you give some examples, when and where we were ripped open when Mikel was not playing? the problem is this kid has 165 games for Chelsea - virtually played in ever freaking Chelsea game.. We rarely see Chelsea without him.. that's the problem..
Jesus wept, there are some people that have a hate on for a player no matter what . My brother was the same with Dirk Kuyt , no matter what the ****er did , even if he scored a hattrick he'd find something bad to say about him. Mikels job is to screen the back four. THAT IS ALL HE IS MEANT TO DO NOTHING ELSE!! As for the having top pay united 12 millions for hi, that was ****ing robbery pure and simple, that the norwegian **** who we were dealing with , faked some documents to get him sent to united. He ended up doing time, for that, and why United were not made to pay us back our money, still ****ing escapes me, the thieving manc ****e|! Maka also played tons of games for us and only scored one ****ing goal! He's still a legend, Mikels one and only job is to make the life for our defence easy, everyone else in the midfield is required to score and help the stirkers, the fact that there are people on the chelsea board that don't understand that makes my mind boggle!!
I have a new and growing respect for your opinions, Mikel does his job extremely well most every time he plays. He's no Zinadane, he's just a very good DM. Look elsewhere for our midfield problem.
