    You are right re the north east Joker, but i'm from a different neck of the woods. Ancestors of mine were with William the Bastard (Duke of Normandy) at the battle of Hastings and I was serious when I said the your Queen is the Duke of Normandy to me (it is one of her titles) and Guernsey sided with Parliament. Although the garrision of the castle in the harbour stayed loyal to the crown and was actually the last royalist garrison to surrender during the civil war. Only thing i've got in common with the mackems though!

    They do this everytime with these events. What they mean is the tv pictures are going live to those countries whose population would total in this case 2 billion if you added them all up!

    Apparently the world cup final was relayed to 4.6 billion people!

    It actually comes from a bloke called George from Hebburn, South Tyneside who created a lamp for the miners ;)
