Watford’s last four home matches: WLWL Bristol City’s last four away: DLLW Make of this what you will but according to the BBC Watford have the worst accuracy from shots ratio of all the Championship clubs and unluckily Bristol City have the best goals from shots figure. As hosts for 44 meetings the Hornets have 18 wins and 13 draws; but, strangely, it is the Robins who have a better goal scoring record, 56 scored for their 13 wins, against Watford’s 67. The Golden Boys could welcome Sean Murray, Marco Cassetti and Fitz Hall back from injury and Troy Deeney from incarceration, while the Reds have lost Joe Edwards, on loan to Yeovil, and Cole Skuse and Greg Cunningham through injury. Mark Wilson will be looked at for a possible return for the Bristol side. One point in Watford’s favour is there are so many new faces the opposition’s homework book will be useless. And the result: Watford 2 Bristol City 1 OK, I'm waiting for the barn door jokes!
Did you not shut the door? I do not see a win in this game for the Hornets. 0:1 again. Bristol will defend and get in the way and then get a simple goal.
I disagree. We are playing ok without getting results and someone will take the backlash. I think i have predicted a 2-0 win, but it could be more. Someones going to get it, why not BC?
The solution to our current problems is simple, then. If you keep your car filled up we won't need a win (ie we will be so far ahead of everyone else.)
great thread, thank you Zen . My head says we might struggle tomorrow, but my heart says we'll romp it! 3-1...who the team will be i have no idea, but i do hope Forestieri plays...
Geijo is still unfit with a groin injury so is not in contention for selection. I doubt Deeney will be in the first 11, maybe on the bench. I have no idea where Bottacchio had vanished to, he was at Derby but I have not seen him since.
Morning all - nice thread Zen, 5*'s from me... 3-1 to Watford, someone is due to get a few and I think it will be Brizzle....
A feel a big win for the Golden Boys today I am going 4-2, they will score but I just feel we will click today and finally get the performance and the result we deserve after playing good and losing for the last few games. Come on You Golden Boys!!!!
I would like us to keep a clean sheet as we've only kept 2 this season, and one of those was against Wycombe, although I'd take a win by any score.
#watfordfc v Bristol: Almunia (GK), Cassetti, Nosworthy, Neuton, Pudil; Chalobah, Abdi, Yeates; Murray, Forestieri, Vydra #watfordfc subs v Bristol City: Bond (GK), Hall, Doyley, Smith, Beleck, Iwelumo, Deeney Troy is playing with a tag on his left ankle. I wonder what impact that will have on his movement and tackling.
Yeates again Wonder what GZ sees in him? A fairly attacking bench there - as much as we can call them 'attackers' - and only Smith as an alternative midfielder.
Anyone else having drop-out problems with Watford Player? Have just lost it for the second time in ten minutes & it doesn't seem to want to come back.
Hi Frenchie.... a v tired yorkie here.... I cant get hornet player.... I am wondering if i need to resubscire each year? Only thing I can think of ... cheers...
I really don't understand what happens - I switched over to the Bristol commentary & it was ok - back to Watford commentary and nothing - although it has just come on now thankfully.
