    Finished 6th last season.

Now they've just fallen 1-2 at home to Rubin Kazan at home in the Europa League, with pretty much a full strength side. Cassano, Cambiasso, Cassano all out.

    You reckon they're falling?

    Two Cassanos out? Ouch :p

They've been struggling for years though, their best players are finished, and they're losing their youth. Cesar has been poor, hence them getting rid of him, Sneijder isn't looking as good, they lost Eto'o, Santon, Balotelli. Zanetti is aged, Maicon has gone, Lucio is gone. Frankly they're just no where near the team they were 2 or 3 years ago.

Rofl, last minute equalizer from Inter, but they're still struggling.

Would have expected them to win, still can see them winning their group.

They've always been **** and mismanaged under Morratti. They only won 6 titles on the run (or whatever it was) because they got lucky with all the other top clubs being weakened by calciopoli (and being awarded two titles because of that) and the fact they managed one last big bit of spending on players who were in their prime by selling Ibrahimovic . Now they've all recovered and Inter are trying to get ready for FFP and can't spend on current stars they are back in the position they've always been, behind Juve and AC.

They should've sold Sneijder after the 2010 world cup and built a new young team but instead they held onto him and now he's probably halved in transfer value.

I know an Inter fan really well and there is no doubt they're in a slump. He is die hard and says its all of their own doing. Their cycling of the squad has been appalling, evidenced by the sale of great prospects like Santon. Their fans were fuming with that one and others who never saw the light of day. They lumbered themselves with 30 plus players a few years back. At one stage he reckons over half a squad of 25 was made up of old players. This was draining the club financially. Instead of taking the bull by the horns as all top clubs do, they let their team slide in line with the ageing superstars decline. They have now tried an emergency repair but the quality is not of the usual quality.

They basically got lazy and complacent. They'll come again but I think they'll need a couple of years to recover.
