The match that secures the title. If it were against Liverpool or City, that would be all the sweeter. Seriously, which match do you think mattered most to Utd fans last year? The one against City that would practically have clinched us the title had we won it, or the one against Liverpool when we were about 30 points ahead of you?
It is weird though, seems like Wigan and Stoke always give us such a torrid time. We ****ing struggle with Stoke as well. But we can beat United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Everton, ****ing so hot and cold. I can't quite put Tottenham in there as since 09 we have struggled against them.
There are just certain teams who match up in a certain way on the pitch... Tottenham for example have battered you a few times recently.. It's just the way your formation balances off theirs.. That's why there are teams who just can't beat certain teams for four of five years. It's difficult to explain, but imagine Lucas hates moving into a certain area of the pitch because he feels uncomfortable.. Well if Modric happens to love that area of the pitch - he'll have a field day.. Whereas Playing against Chelsea, Lampard may never enter that part of the pitch, and Lucas will have him in his pocket. Barcelona and Chelsea as another example. And once you stop believing you can beat a team.. Half the battle is lost. Barca will pray to god they don't ever meet Chelsea again.. They rarely beat them.
It'll be a big challenge for Manchester United to win at a ground they haven't done since 2007. So them suggesting its our ''Cup final'' is a bit of a joke.
This is the pre-match thread thread. If you ever leave this forum for a party, this is like the pre-drink at a mate's house
No wummery, just the truth. Let's be honest, which game were you more gutted about losing last season - the one against Utd at OT or the one against Chelsea at Wembley? Haven't managed to start reading the book again after the move, been too busy with other stuff. Will try to pick it back up again in the near future, but the mother in law passed away last week so sorting all that stuff out and comforting the wife has taken up the majority of my time since.
Sorry to hear that Swarbs. Was your wife very close to her? I obviously don't know where your in-laws did/do live, but nowhere is particularly close to where you live now, apart from Iceland, so that must be making it more difficult.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirms that winger Ashley Young has been ruled out for two to three weeks with a "bruised cartilage". "Alex Ferguson says Wayne Rooney won't be ready for Manchester United's game at Liverpool on Sunday, but the striker could be back next week after a return to training." Two players who could hurt us out, hopefully nani continues to be woeful. Should be good news for us! One thing we have to do ( as Cazorla showed us) is to keep our eyes on Kagawa at all times and not allow him to pull the strings. hendo/allen needs to be on him like white on rice.
