What's your stance on other English teams in Europe?

Always would rather English teams lost, so they don't threaten our record. Although I do permit exceptional circumstances if they're playing Galatasaray (hope Man U hammer them tonight), and some leeway if it's any of Bayern, AC Milan, Real Madrid or Barcelona who I tend to dislike quite a bit too for various reasons.

 

You are giving away your age.The fans of most English clubs who played in Europe pre Heysel contributed to the banning of English clubs.People also forget about the behaviour of Scottish fans when their international team played

 

English clubs used to get more than 3 UEFA cup places pre 1985.The figure went down after English clubs were readmitted after the ban because the co-efficent had changed

Better way of putting it Cym is that 6th never got a Uefa Cup place during those years.

 

I support every British team in Europe (although Glasgow Rangers are packed full of bigots) and I can't see why others would not do the same.

Liverpool fans are the most annoying people on the Planet because they're so deluded its unreal but I'd still root for them all the way in the Europa League every year.

 

I always root for the English sides (don't care much about the Scottish). I dislike United but I still find myself supporting them when they're up in Europe, when Rooney scored in the final I jumped out of my seat. I

It is sad that so many of you Chelsea boys do not support Spurs in Europe. I never thought you considered us to be such a threat.

As i said in an earlier post,it's not just the scousers to blame for English teams being banned from Europe.Heysel was just the final straw.You've either got a short memory or you're too young to remember the 70's and 80's
