Just tuned into Sky to watch Champions League, and have been reminded how gutted I felt when the Scum won the final - seeing smug faced Terry justifying his stripping down to his kit to get his hands on the trophy made me want to throw my beer at the TV - what a **** he is!
That's 4 times in 5 games now I've seen Hazard fall over a leg or nothing in the box. I reckon he's better at cheating than Young.
I hope the refs see through this ****e this season. Last year I reckon Hazard's effort would of been given. ( Especially if Mike Dean was in charge. ) Hopefully the refs have been told to look out for the usual suspects in these cheating situations. Having said that, did anyone else notice that Zamora could of gone down when Cech challenged him in the box following that back pass?
Youngs dives are awful, he always does a half twist in mid air which never happens if its a real foul. Hazards are very good, I thought it was a pen in our game until I saw the replay, this was exactly the same, wait for the slightest of contacts and then throw yourself to the ground. Id love it if the refs kepts this up, eventually the diving will stop. I see Torres was doing exactly the same as well, dont they have any shame at all?
Hes not a cheat. Zamora 1st instinct is to score, chelsea players 1st instinct is to dive. Ironic that HH produced his only dive of the season against them last year.
They should have had a pen for this one imo. The problem was he didn't go down when he got the nudge in the back then realised he wasn't going anywhere and fell over two seconds later.
Its not a pen if a nudge is the back has no effect on the player, its never a pen when a player chooses to go down. Its a dive.
What if the nudge isn't enough to go down but does have an effect? You've no choice but throw yourself over as the ref will never give it otherwise. Mackie at home to Citeh last season for example.
The nudge had no effect on Mackie, he could have tried but it probably wouldnt have been given. Players like Hazard have already got a bad rep for diving and now I bet there will soon be a legitimate penalty that wont be given because the ref will just assume its a dive. The choosing to go down will stop if the refs keep on giving no pens. Then we might see a bit of strength come back into the game and not haver to watch the likes of Torres throw himself to the ground literally every time he gets the ball.
From where I was, it looked as though BZ should have gone down, as it appeared to me that Cech clipped his ankle and he stumbled. What annoys me is that you have to go down to win something. Surely a foul is a foul whether the player tries to be honest and continue play or not - the offence has being committed and the intent of the defender was there. If anything this encourages people to go over on anything to try and win the penalty. The ref is essentially saying - "yeah it was a foul, but i didn't give it coz you didn't sprawl about on the floor like a fish out of water".
Thats how it used to be, but if they stopped giving those then theres no reason at all to go over. I watch a lot of NHL games and diving is called for any kind action in trying to con the ref, if someone gets punched and goes down. He will get the same penalty as the guy who punched him. If its a minor punch then the guy who goes down will get the only penalty. I think thats how it should be in football. If a player grabs someones face and they hit the ground, both should be sent off.
