Nani misses more than he scores. That's not a good reason for him to be one of the designated penalty takers. Just let the Ginger kid take them. He can pick a pass from 60 yards so surely a tap into the net from the penalty spot should be a piece of piss.
Giggs's penalties are very cool, his pen inthe champions league final was class, just screwed it into the bottom corner
the thing why Scholes don't take any because after his FA cup 2004 final pen miss against Arsenal, his confident is still low on penalties, even in his testimonial match when united were given a penalty, Scholes made Rooney take it because Scholes didn't want to take a penalty.
Let De Gea take it, bet he'd make 95/100. A year ago I saw Man City play the LA Galaxy, City got played off the park that game by the Galaxy reserves, and it went to PKs. The best penalty was taken by Joe Hart, blasted into the upper 90. The second best PK was taken by the Galaxy's third string keeper, perfectly placed shot in the bottom corner. See the pattern? That's why De Gea has my vote for our official PK taker.
For me it would be a striker no matter which of the 4 it is as it will boost their confidence that much more. In a way Im glad Hernandez missed hes pen as it wasnt a pen it the 1st place, with RVPs he made up with the hat trick and with tonights my only guess why Nani took it is that SAF thought he that if he converted it would have been a turning point in his recent performances but that was a shocking pen from him compared to the 1 he took against Spain in the Euros.
Good point Dave, but what good does it do if they're going to miss it? The number one priority should be scoring the penalty.
