At 6:30 I'll be getting on a tram to go home from work. Probably a tram full of Man U and Galatasaray fans, since I live on the Stretford side of town. I will not be removing my LUFC lapel badge.
That pic is whats started it all off, taken yesterday at Doncaster Airport apparently. I worry for Manchester tonight
I used to work in Turkey. The year I left, ManUre played Cim Bom (easier to spell than Galatasaray). Their welcome to the Ali Sami Yen stadium was a blacked out tunnel with "welcome to hell" in neon lights. Very rare that I have any sympathy for ManUre fans, but on this occasion me thinks they know what's coming their way!!!!
Bloody hell. Just heard the traffic's gridlocked round my house with all the Man U fans trying to get in from the M6. It doesn't normally start this early...
Both. Riot inside the ground, thousands of arrests, and a 5 year European ban for each would do for me. Some serious onfield injuries & red cards would go down a storm too. Realistically, and I can't believe I'm saying this - scum to win , Galashite to get humiliated.
Ive always refused to go to Turkey on hol simply because of what they did to your fans, they really are the worst breed.
Strange seeing you Leeds lot rooting for the mancs but obviously understandable. I would not complain if a plane carrying their fans blew up on the way back to Turkey!
I must confess, I have been to Turkey after the stabbings when I was too young to know better. I generally found the people very friendly and warm (beyond the general 'buy our stuff' level, like, really accommodating), but there's always been a very distasteful nationalistic edge to the place and they see any attack on that ****er Ataturk or their **** Islamic flag as a personal insult. So **** 'em. Looking back as well, the way their media, justice system and population at large handled the wake of the Istanbul crimes was nothing short of a disgrace. I'm never going back, and I hope the Galatasaray club and UltrAslan all ****ing die in mind-blowing agony.
