    As already stated. Simply for saying in my opinion the thread shouldn't be closed, he retorted "I understand decency, you clearly don't so I shall return to my board with a good reminder of why I left." Condescending to say the very least. I take back not a word of what I said to him.

    Oh, I didn't realise "idiot" now counts as abuse. By that logic, if I go back through your posts and find one occassion where you called me any sort of tiny name for no reason, then I would be within my rights to ask for you to be banned, yes?

    Can I suggest the following, as this is all getting a bit silly.

    Mackems: if you don't like this guy, add him to your ignore list or, better still, just ignore him anyway. If he behaves like a twat, let us know, but we're not banning anyone just yet. If he wants to post on here he can; it is an open forum after all and banter with mags is always going to raise the the blood on both sides.

    AMBAON: stop "defending" yourself and stick to football. You're just clogging up threads with a load of stuff no-one should be bothered about. You want other posters to be fair with you, then start by growing up and rising above some bait yourself. You have posted a lot of decent stuff lately, but all this self-justification is self-defeating as it is simply pissing people off.

    As a final point, I would say that it is Sunderland fans who will be getting the benefit of any doubt. That is all.
