Great 3 points. Back with a beer in my hand. Good to see the changes made no difference to the squad. 6 changes a clean sheet a win & 2 goals. Great result. Well done the lads.

Never has a win felt so nervy or hard work. But winning is all that matters. Well done lads.

Thought there would be a bigger crowd today. I guess the "Wembley JPT" crowd were at the beach instead today.

Done and dusted now so next up is Brentford. Please let it be a bit cooler.

Great result. How we weren't in front at half time is beyond me but great spirit again in the second half. The whole team played well I thought but particularly good performances from Seaborne, Fonte, Harding and Connolly.

Patience of a Saint payed off in the end, the 'pool goal had a charmed life in the First half, but class told in the end, I thought the Referee probably got the offside decision wrong, I am not sure what phase of play that the flag went up.

Thought this might be the game we'd lose after such an exciting match on Saturday. In the heat, that kind of tense game can be physically and mentally draining. The squad did its job. Onwards and, hopefully, upwards.

The Post Lord Mayors Show didn't happen, thankfully, apart from a couple of lapses at the back, done presumably to keep KD awake, it was a workmanlike performance. Certainly gave a few of the squad members a decent run out. It is getting harder to pick the best XI. 24,210 there today, about 70% in the sash by the look of it, 217 Hartlepool bravehearts.

Another good win, and a game which I thought we were always in control of. Lallana MOTM for me, even if he was a bit selfish at times.

There's a chance now that could be celebrating promotion on Saturday. If we beat Brentford and Huddersfield lose to Brighton, we'll be 3 points clear of them with a GD that is at least 15 better, and they will only have one game left.

    Superb win today...get in there!!

Still need to work on communication at the back tho, but super Kelv pull off some saves and catches tho.

Great to see stadium packed out... And hear the continuous singing throughout.

I'm not holding back now... But very confident we got 2nd place in the bag now!!

Lambo was official MoM! He made one scored one, good enough for me.

He had a cracker... Looks sharp and was eager to win the ball. Very impressed with his effort today

Good atmosphere and attendance given the small Hartlepool away support (and his mate). I thought we always looked comfortable, perhaps too comfortable, and in control for 90% of the game. 3 points is all that matters, would have liked to see a little more ambition especially at 2-0 up. 2 wins to go. We can do this!

I agree pretty much with all the above - A good all round team performance I'd say - great 3 points!

Although gotta say at times I was rather frustrated by the constantly sideways and backwards passing but I suppose on a hot day looking after the ball and keeping possession is paramount.

A very good sign that we can win games without playing particularly well. All is looking good for the 2nd spot although still gotta remember it is saints so last day drama here we come!

So it will be 2nd or 3rd. If the worst happens all will be up for grabs on the last game of the season, then we will have the Championship to look forward to, or play-offs starting at Bournemouth! Surely they can see off the O's to clinch that 6th place!! Or it could be settled next Saturday. I know which I prefer!

Davis and Guly were class today. Harding had a good game too so was pretty happy with the team performance. Connolly can certainly fill Barnard's place for the rest of the season so I reckon we'll just keep winning.
Did Davis beat Shilt's clean sheet record today?
