According to ESPN Obertan refused to come off the bench?

Who does he think he is? Carlos Tevez? He needs to realise he's ****e.

If this is indeed true, it is probably the most considerate and productive thing he's ever done in a Newcastle shirt.

He's both immediately lost all respect I may have had left for him and won it all back in one move... Confusing.

It's not his fault his head is in the clouds - have you seen the size of it?

I can honestly say I'm shocked, I wonder if that is why Pardew mentioned him in his post match interview, he did say he's been terrific in training, (a shop window comment).
If it is true, then it's happening too often these days, it's becoming a trend.

<laugh><laugh> Love it! Taking one for the team.

Obertan: "No boss, seriously, I can't go out there! We still have a chance of nicking a result - I'd ruin it for everyone."

    No play, no pay!

A weeks fine at least if it's true.

Don't think that space is supposed to be there.

Best thing he's did during a Premier League game, if true.

Well, we need to look at the facts. I personally don't see how bringing on Obertan would have helped us tonight.

Lets just wait to see what info is released on the subject, before reacting.

    Why would he do that?

Pardon my ignorance -- I'm still learning this whole football thing!!

Huffed because he wasn't chosen to start?

It matters not, he'll have a price to pay for his pettiness.

if this is true he's burnt a lot of bridges.
Great players can have a hissy fit from time to time... average ones don't have that luxury.

Was he not stripped and ready to come on, then they changed there minds and told him to sit down?

Sure it was ESPN claiming Marveaux had stormed out of the ground a few weeks back, but turned out his kids was sick!!!!!

Don't believe anything until it's in the local press

Not so keen on the local press either. Not a big fan of Ryder's.

They don't tend to twist things to make headline though!!

National press/media are always happy to twist things for the worst

Gibbo was the only true reporter that went to the games and wrote it as he saw it.

Watch the BBC post match interview with AP. AP says Obertan has been great in training so he had to bring him on in the game. But Obertan never came on?

Wouldn't play him for the club again if true. Think Tevez is very lucky still to be at Man City. Got to say not sure it is true.

If this is true I hope they make an example of him and don't cave in like Man City did with Tevez, we can't have the tail wagging the dog!!!
