Couldn't make the game Yesterday so had to settle for the **** that is ESPN.

However the pictures of the ground looked better. Our fans seemed louder.

So those at the match what did you think. I'm bloody desperate to get to a bloody match aaarrgghh!

It will take 3 or 4 games for me to see whether I like the new away set up but certainly it looked better having our fans behind both goals.

The scoreboards where class but distracting as we were keep looking at them during the game. Lol

That will probably wear off in time though.

Tried writing a thread but hasn't worked.

Im in the new south stand singing section and half time was a shambles. Only 2 bars for a few thousand people. I hope they do something to rectify this or the half time pint will be a thing of the past.

Bit shocking that Parker. I'm sure the club will be looking To maximise profit so hopefully they will sort it.

Myself and my wife were below the away fans and will be paying the ticket office a visit on Monday, we are not sitting there one more game. Articles thrown from above, god knows what they were, hit a lad 2 rows in front of us, it's only a matter of time before someone is hurt IMO, god knows which fooking idiot thought this was a good setup, but I bet they don't sit there. Also, not as important, but we could hear nothing but Liverpool drone on and on and on with repetitive sh*te. Sorry if that seems strong, but was so disappointed with our new seats and our teams performance. All in all a bad day.

Newcastle fans endure that every time we play you. I would expect the same, if not a lot worse, not that's it's right. Daft idea to have away fans above home in my eyes. It's a recipe for disaster.

The atmosphere is exellent now, mainly from the south west corner, as it was every season, and you do not notice the away supporters anywhere near like previous seasons!, ( and Liverpool brought about 1500 up) it is weired and it is dark up there and there was about the 5 front rows of seats emptied to stop any carry on, to say the mags will be drownded out on the 22nd Oct is an understatement !. the defence now will not have any problems, like in the past, and opposing players do not know where to run when they score because they get barracked by north stand supporters if they do. So when Fletcher scores against them he will jump into a sea of red and white!.
I reckon perspex will go up in the future in the away end, and be warned the police can see EVERYTHING that goes on in the ground, because a few seasons ago a bloke behind me was having a sly hip flask drink, and two minutes later he was nabbed, so all them throwing stuff will be done.

I sit below the away fans and didnt notice anything being thrown. But the atmosphere wasnt right for me, as someone said just heard the away fans all game, i think the SW corner used the away fans for banter etc and that doesnt happen in the north stand if you know what i mean. So may be a while before the change works. With regards to the perspex, i heard they were going to use a net as such to prevent things being thrown, guess that didnt happen. Needs to be in place for derby day though.

All that's needed is for people in the North Stand to actually sing themselves instead of just listening what's going on in other parts of the ground, because in my experience it is when that happens the atmosphere is terrific.

I used to sit in the North Stand in the early days when the atmosphere there was terrific. However, I had to move to the family section in the SE Corner as there is no concessions for kids season tickets in the North Stand. I still do my bit for that section of the ground though.
