Was there again yesterday. I now feel that the last two home games have achieved a premiership standard of football ! I pity for some of the lesser teams to come here yet! ! If they keep this standard up, then I don't see many teams taking all 3 points ! Pesonally think Elmo has been a revelation, both attacking and helping out the defence. Yesterday, he dropped back to fullback position on several occassions whilst the defender was bombing up the pitch helping the forwards. His teamwork is outstanding by my reckoning and feel the best, if possible,is to come from this team. BRING ON LEEDS
Did Bruce say that in a positive way, ie we eased off having won this game to keep ourselves fresh for the next two games, or in a negative way as in the players just backed off of their own accord?
Negative. He said it's a frustrating mind-set that players seem to relax and lose their sharpness in that situation.
No. He actually said that he wished he could have taken his HT team talk back.......but did not elaborate on it. Whilst i thought we did back off a bit we still could have had 2/3 more goals. He was very upbeat overall though.
I dont think we were negative in the 2nd half at all. Just not as fully on it as in the first, but guess it human nature. Just guessing but maybe Steve Bruce told them of the week ahead and what it means to US FANS. !!!!
If SB doesn't know what beating them means to us fans, then if we win tonight he sure will soon find out.
