    "You can't win them all"

    Are you going to say that every week until we're relegated Plum?

    Dont think JET deserves to be anywhere near the first team. He may have talent but he is the laziest sod I have ever seen on a football pitch

    I'm getting as annoyed as everyone else on here. We appear to be playing well which is a positive and we do have decent players, unfortunately we have the bad combination of not being able to convert our chances and then concede easily!!

    It does seem very doom and gloom I must admit but when you look at it, we've lost 2 games in the league this season, once to Blackpool away and once to Middlesborough away who have an 100% home record so far this season. I'm trying to find the silver lining in that we've had a fairly difficult start and even if we would have been realistically challenging this season I wouldn't neccessarily expect to get a result at either of these places!!

    I occasionally take my boys with me to Portman Rd, neither of them are Ipswich fans, (they weren't born in Ipswich, or grew up in Ipswich etc, so why should they be? But both football mad!)

    The one player that they want to see playing when they go to Portman Rd is JET!

    Yeah, can be anonymous in games, but on his day can rip a defence apart, still young perhaps and with some learning to do, but on form, probably one of the best players in the Championship!

    <ok>

    So would you say that 3rd from bottom is a good place for us to be now?

    would agree with all that mate BUT how often is he on form. Thats my biggest problem with him. He may do amazing things for 20 minutes in a match but he wont even try in the other 70. Does that mean his talents warrant him being carried for the time he cant be bothered? personally I would say no but on his day he is a match winner and we dont have many of them.

    I agree with all of that BUT for me that is the very worrying part. We appear to have alot of the parts of a very decent team but they cant click together as a team. Its very well playing entertaining football, which we have so far this season but we need an end result and its just not happening. Other than blackpool we have competed in all games but if we go 1 down, I am now convinced that we dont have enough to get a victory. A draw is possible but for all the talented forward thinking players we have I dont trust anyone to score more than once and we dont look like keeping a clean sheet.
    I will miss wednesdays game but I think that is going to be a difficult game to win so that makes next Saturday must win.

    Yes that is completely what I am saying!! Of course not!!!! But it's after 5 games, I was pretty shocked to see us there tbh as I thought there would b teams with less points!!

    After the first 2 results of the season the majority of people were in the give Jewell time camp. Now 3 games later everyone says it's time to go and what I'm saying is we've lost 2 games against 2 very good teams in this division away from home, that we didn't really expect to win. The Blackpool game was a very poor game but yet we were still praised by the opposition manager and yesterdays game apparently we played very very well. Obviously it is a concern that we don't seem to be able to finish teams off and are very susceptible at the back but there are some encouraging signs there. The biggest worry is if we go on a run like last season. I always thought we would have a slow start to the season (as ever) and push on around xmas!!
