at the end of the day I am happy with the point but before the game I really thought 3points were on the cards. Liverpool have had a pretty bad start with the pressure already on Rodgers and his way of playing and I thought we would of got at them and got forward more than we did. In spells I thought we were really good but the spells were short and there was very few of them.

I think we are going to have quite a decent season especially when everyone is fit, players like Johnson and Wes Brown would of been useful today, Bramble still looked huge and not trying to be to critical but he should of done better and sorted out his feet for there goal. As for today I thought there was some very good performances and some not so good, IMO....

Simon Mignolet - 7 - When he was called into action he done exactly what he had to

Craig Gardner - 7 - Looking solid at RB and Bardo will have a fight on his hands to get back in, great work for our goal.

John O'Shea - 7 - Solid performance from O'Shea, very good at CB, hope we never see him at full back again

Carlos Cuellar - 6 - Shame the lad got injured because I was not confident at all when I seen Bramble coming on (would of prepared to see Killa), apart from that header that gifted Borini a chance he looked oryt

Danny Rose - 6 - Not sure what I think of this lad yet, at the minute I would say he is a winger helping the team out and playing out of position, looked neat and tidy on the ball but he always looked like he was capable of getting skinned by the attacker, only a young lad and cannot make a fair judgement after one game.

Lee Cattermole - 9 MOTM - Thought he was fantastic today, our best player out there, good on the ball and breaking up play, hope we can see the lad at his best.

Jack Colback - 8 - Good performance from Colback today and thought he was neat and tidy in midfield, I think against the top teams I would like to see him at LB with Seb in the middle and Jono on the wing and against the teams we should be winning then Rose at LB, Colback in the middle with Jono on the wing. Only think he done wrong was when he was through in the first half he should of pulled the trigger.

Seb Larsson - 6 - decent enough performance, worked hard

Stephane Sessegnon - 6 - still getting up to speed after a summer in which he never played a game and only trained a handful of times due to injury, give him 2 or 3 more games to get his fitness up and get in the groove and the Sess we know will be back, seem glimpses today of what he can do

James McClean - 6 - worked hard but I really hope this lad does not suffer second season syndrome, not getting carried away or going over the top but IMO the lad has looked poor so far, yes its only 3 premier league games and I have faith in the lad but whats all this receiving the ball, stopping it dead then running inside and into trouble, he needs to do what he done last season, running down the line and attacking the full back.

Steven Fletcher - 8 - great goal and we have the perfect striker upfront, 3 attempts on target and 3 goals in his two goals for us, had a hard day trying to win the aerial battles against two beasts in Skrtel and Agger but certainly works hard for the team.

Titus Bramble - 6 - looked huge and should of done better for there goal, when recieved the ball always hoofed it long, cannot remember once when he played it out from the back.

Thought Catts was good today. A lot of good tackles.

He's not a technical player, but he's good at doing his job. If you guys can get him to keep maturing, and improving, he can be a great asset. He's not gonna set the world on fire, but he can be part of a solid side.

You watched a different Rose than I did, he did really well until the youngster skinned him for the goal.
He would have skinned the best defender in the world with that.

You then give Mig 7 after another abysmal show of distribution.
His horrible habit of punching the ball to the opposition.
Not catching the ball when it would actually be easier to do so.

    8 for Colback?????????

    Catts mom easy.

McClean, Sess and Seb all 5's for me and quite lucky to get that, O'Shea really sold himself a few times too.

We've got at least one goalscorer who will scare the shimmies out of any defence, and are a serious threat going forward -we were nowhere near creative enough, or threatening enough to take control in the game in midfield and we proved this against Swansea and Liverpool.

We didn't play to feet today and tbh we looked a bit desperate as Liverpool picked us off with every long ball out of defence. Sadly, it wasn't the way we played in spells at Swansea and it wasn't anything like the display the home crowd were looking forward to.

We were lucky to get a draw today, basically ...Marty again subbed on an attack and win setup with no delivery whatsoever, even against 10 men ffs!

To cut a long story short, the next 3 games define our early season imho and we need a Premier League win;-

    - West Ham V Sunderland

    - MK Dons V Sunderland (League Cup)

    - Sunderland V Wigan

We have not been good but I really do think we can win the next 3 games, we just need that creative spark and hopefully Sess will provide that when he finds a bit of form.

I have said it before and will say it again, for us to go at sides and playing along the ground we need to spend around 10m on someone to play next to catts, who will grab the game and drive us on

Rise did really well today, however he pulled his groin about 5 minutes before the Liverpool goal. Campbell was due to come on to replace him before the Liverpool goal because of that.

Liverpool got lucky for their goal, they would never have scored otherwise. Why Bramble disn't use his left foot ffs!

Mig would get a 7 off me but for the love of god i wish he would realise that he can roll the ball out instead of just hoofing it. mcclean and sess would get a 5 as i thought they were poor today and rose imo is not a left back and i know he has only trained with the team for a couple of days but defensively he look poorand i never thought id say this but we missed ricco today!!
