Love is the sweetest thing! Norwich , clearly is a man with taste, and I imagine not drawn easily to the Queens!
Didn't get to watch it last night cos the Mrs had to watch Strictly Come Dancing! Its been recorded so I can watch it this morning!
Chelsea Football Club, The Official History In Pictures with foreward by Gianfranco Zola. It's by Rick Glanvill, yeah. Really good book though.
Thanks Norwich! I have one entitled Chelsea Football Club, The Official "BIOGRAPHY", by Rick Glanville and with a foreword by Roman Abramovich. I'm wondering if its the same book , but its an update/reprint! I've also got another one by Rick Glanville, called Chelsea Football Club-The official history in pictures foreword by Franco (and signed by Chopper)--I think this must be the same one!
Yeah, reckon its the second one. What is the other one like, is it worth getting? I'd love something like the Chelsea one for my club, but never found anything quite like it. Always amazes me that so many of the successful clubs were started by a couple of guys in a pub - bet they never dreamed they would evolve into what they have today.
The "Biography" one is a more or less script all the way through but with sections of key pictures , detailing everying since 1905. the end section of the book is crammed with all sorts of statistics! I found it an interesting read! The book I treasure most is "90 years of the Blues" by Ron Hockings. This is a record of every game the Blues have played(league ,European, domestic cups , freindlies and testimonials) Each game has the manager, both teams, referee, half-full time scores, scorers, and subs. It also details all youth, reserve results! It is a pity this great work isn't periodically updated
