Did find it once, that is a step up on a number of games last season! Sunderland are a good team who will finish at worst midtable and possibly as high as 7th or 8th. Liverpool outplayed them for large portions of the game and came away with a result. Its not a bad result, its just not a good result.
True enough and the woodwork curse seems to have followed us to the new season too. Maybe it will all turn round next week against manure.
know what you are saying Sir Red. was a frustrating game and should have won, but its when we stop creating the chances we are not putting away is the time to worry. cant remember who said it but was a good point, there is about 4-5 players in the team that have little experience at this level, added to the fact we are adapting to a dif system of playing it will take time, striker situation is a worry though and i hope we are looking at someone in Jan to come in.
Their goal was an absolute joke of a goal to give away. Glen Johnson needs a right bollocking over that feeble challenge he made in the lead up to the goal. As for the positives, Raheem Sterling seems to be getting better and better, his set up for the Suarez goal was exceptional. He was my MOTM.
I'm sure we will be. Rodgers stated that he found the summer transfer window extremely difficult because of a lack of scouting department. This is now in place and we can expect a few incomings in January.
and outgoings, please some outgoings. I hope Cole leaves, 90£k a week for a player that doesn't even make the bench for our EL matches
It was another example of how a simple defensive error costs us big time. It cost us 2 points against City and 2 points today.
That's if we can ensure he won't got injured during the window thus preventing a potential deal!! Apart from him, I wouldn't really like anyone else to go out - the window is more about adding to the existing the squad.
Joe Cole is the only one that needs to go. We need additions big time. Pacheco is touch and go, he's not really lived up to his potential, so there is a 50/50 chance. he'll be saying adios.
Cole needs to go, not just for us but himself. If he wants to play football, he'll drop his wages ans go play for someone. If he wants to just earn some cash before he retires then he'll just sit in the stands watching us for the rest of the season. Downing, I had high hoped but watching him today he doesn't fit into the way we are currently playing. Few examples today where he beat his man, looked up to put his cross in and realised there was no one in the box. If people aren't going to get in the box, then him being out wide and working crossing positions isn't going to be beneficial.
His performances for the u21 have been pretty good but there must be an issue re. his attitude if he's not even considered. Latest tweet from Suso:
He has a point, he could have done a much better job than ****ing Downing who quite frankly could do with a few lessons from Sterling, a player 10 years younger than him.
He does have a point but I think there are better ways of expressing himself i.e. doing his talking on the pitch.
Loan the little tart out to Carlisle and tell him we'll only consider bringing him back when he's grown up and learnt some manners!
I don't think a manager will mind this as long as he keeps putting the effort in post tweet. I want guys pissed off not getting on. Especially if they see people guaranteed a spot when they don't look like they could be pissed being on it!
In all fairness fordeck, it was a persistent youngster that was our stand out player today and got us a point. Suso deserved to at least be on the bench when the likes of Shelvey were useless for 90 minutes
To be serious, he's seen Sterling give a bit of attitude before & after BR, so can't Blame him for thinking it might work. BR seems to like Balls going by what he says.
Sunderland finish 7th or 8th we will be lucky to finish 15th, 11 games now without a win and still rubbish.
