    They are both playing just about ok but Colback/Catts in the middle just does not work for me, we can't retain the ball enough

    You know Shelvey was on the bench last game, after being our best performer pre-season and in the game v City when he came on for Lucas? He deserved a chance and he's been ok so far, nothing spectacular but then not the worst player on the pitch. Been better than Gerrard has been this season and earnt his place more than Sahin has.

    Typical Liverpool. Lots of possession, good chances, wasteful, concede. My prediction of 2-0 Sunderland looks quite conservative now.

    Why do we do this. We are continually the better side but then we lose concentration.

    Sunderland have done nothing all game and yet they're ahead.
