The reason Hillsborough would have been chosen was because it was always a handy middle ground between the midlands and north west. Which is why Highbury would not have been chosen. Geography not your strong point SKD? I can confirm for that Highbury had sufficient fences and pens in those days, having been. Hillsborough was crumbling cess pit but because of its location and proximity to motorways etc. it hosted semi's on a regular basis, even though completely unsuitable.
Why did they need a middle ground between the Midlands and North West? All they needed was a neutral venue? The first order of business should have been to ensure that the ground they picked was safe. Hillsborough wasn't, there was near misses between 1981-1988. Sorry safety should have came before proximity and location. Your reasons for choosing it are all wrong. Its as if you are standing up for the FA. Only a spiteful dickhead would do that.
For travel purposes. Obviously. Haven't you got some duplo bricks you can play with, leave the adult conversations to those that understand them. I am right, you are wrong. Deal with it.
@jakeglover17:"@Robbie9Fowler Just got refused by Sports Direct to have the name & number 'Justice 96' printed on the back of my #LFC shirt! #disgrace" Just read this **** on twitter, I'd have blown my top if someone refused to do that for me. Completely disgusting
The FA couls easily have selected Main Road or even Old Trafford to host the match. The extra mileage for Forrerst fans is less than the extra milage that liverpool fans had to travel that day.
They could have, yes. But one of the main reasons hillsborough got regularly selected was because of its location, depending on which teams were competing. Not because it had lots of pens. Which is a frankly ridiculous notion.
