If Michu can score against Villa on Saturday, he'll be the first player ever to have scored in the first four Premier League matches. That would be aweseome! And all for just 2 million.

    Also (from BBC)...

A win on Saturday would represent Swansea's best-ever start to a top-flight season, surpassing the three wins and a defeat in 1981-82.

The Swans are unbeaten in four league matches and last went five top-flight fixtures without defeat between January and March 1982.

All in all, it could be a very good day tomorrow.

Let's hope this thread doesn't put the kiss of death on his chances.

It would be a very nice tag to have though. Good luck to him.

Really rooting for the guy to score for a number of obvious reasons. The trouble is, this game will not be easy. After a dodgy start Villa were good value for their draw with Toon. I saw flashes of the commitment, the work ethic and the energy that Lambert brought to Norwich and this style of football has historically caused us problems.

There's no question that Lambert came out on top with his battles against Rodgers. Whether he can do the same against Lauds remains to be seen. But one thing is certain. If we don't match the energy and endeavour of Villa from the kick off, we could easily lose this game. We have started slowly in our games so far but, if we allow Villa to build up a head of steam, we could be in trouble.

Lambert's Norwich were able to bully us in our games and I expect he will be firing up his new team to do the same. There's no doubt we will be vulnerable at the back and if Bent and N'Zogia (spelling?) are allowed to get at our replacements, it could be a tough afternoon.

The good thing is that we are a different animal now and can hurt Villa if they aren't careful. It is a game we are well capable of winning but I suspect we are going to have to dig deep and really battle for the first time this season. It will be interesting to see how the lads cope, not least because I suspect that many teams will be wary of our own fire power for a change. Lambert will not have missed the fact that we have scored 10 in 3 in the league with another 3 in our cup game. Goal scoring is a habit and breeds a lot of confidence which could win us this game, so long as we don't leave our patched up defence exposed. Intriguing game and a good test of where we are at......

I wonder if he's aware of the record, and if so what difference it would make to him? Just curious.

Tough game tomorrow and I'd take a draw right now. Not because Villa are that good (they aren't) but because we are likely to have Tate or Monk at the back. I hope that whoever it is plays a blinder and proves me wrong. I'll be the first to come on here and say it. But we also have a young kid in Davies (my preferred starter) or a Premier newbie in Tiendelli at LB so our back line is looking very fragile.

Whereas I rate Lambert I actually think that Villa aren't as good as the team he managed at Norwich. With a full squad at our disposal I'd be predicting a win for us but I can't. 1-1 is the best I can hope for, Michu to score. <ok>

I don't think we will get bullied as much as last season, Michu got a thumbs up from me to standing up for his mates against Sunderland.
I reckon he may start with Kemy to get back at the Villa hackjobs too.
As you say, when we are going forward we are gonna put the fear of God into their backline so no worries there.

Come on you Swans! AV 0 - 3 Swansea. Optimistic but not unrealistic methinks.

If I was to bet on anyone scoring it would be Michu. I think we will moider them tomorrow. They will be running around chasing shadows for the most of the game. We outplayed Sunderland with only 10 players and they are likely to finish higher than Villa. ML has had two weeks to work with players, Hernandez will be on the bench or starting, we are not going to be short of power in midfield or up front.

Reckon we will be fine lots of options up front and midfield; losing Taylor is a blow but maybe having the international break has helped in that respect as Davies has had more time to prepare and had the morale boost of being called up for the national team.
Sunderland game down to ten men was good practice for going up against a tough side like Villa.

I hope Michu only scores one though so he gets the record, would rather Graham grab a few as I need the dream team points :)

Today will be interesting as tactically Lambert had our number last season, but with us having a tweaked side and him having a new side can he do it again?? I think not. I think we will mirror last seasons score
