If Swans got demoted to League Two they'd be lucky to have attendances of 2,000. I think Rangers attendances will drop off quickly, playing in 4th tier is a novelty that will soon wear off. But there is always a chance that next season they may do something like expand the SPL and invite Rangers to join.
disagree casual, think they are actually making a point that the sfa and whover fkd up, rangers will never die
I think Miku said he wanted to play in front of bigger crowds. LOL. He'll be in for a bit of a shock at the away matches.
scottish football is a joke and celtic will lose millions by rangers not playing them 4 times a season...
Miku has gone to a big club in a tiny league. Yet again another off to a league which is the graveyard of any ambition in a footballer. Easy money, no ambition mr Miku.
I saw he had a baby in his arms when he was introduced to the crowd so he has family considerations I guess. Gone for the money - absolutely no doubt about it. He'll get Champions League football but Celtic will be annihilated in that group imo.
I don't think there's anything wrong with going to a club for the money. Football is their job and it makes sense to earn as much as you can. Most players don't care which club they play for, so why go to one that pays less. Most of us on here would probably pick the job with the most money. Some exceptions obviously. But if a company across town wanted to pay you double, I doubt many would say no.
celtic have had to cut their wage bill drastically due to the rangers fiasco. He wont be on much more if any more that what we pay...
You can't argue that Celtic are a big club with a large fan base and have European football. Unfortunately for them they do not have Rangers to compete with them and they play in a very weak league. They will also get mullered in Europe but there's no shame in that because of who's in their group. As for football, well the Swans in my opinion are not bigger than Celtic but are better. We play in a far superior league and I think we we would beat them comfortably. If Miku wants that level of football then good luck to him
celtic are only big in scotland and they will always qualify for Europe. they have a big fan base because most of scotland support either celtic or rangers because they are glory hunters. Do you honestly think if they were in the premiership they would be a big club? They would probably get relegated....I would love the whole of GB to play in one system and maybe we would see how big celtic and rangers really are. Leeds use to get bigger crowds that them two in their hey day and look at them now...
Yes, a GB league would be great. But just imagine those long away trips to Glasgow (assuming Celtic played in top division). Then we could also have a Team GB and have some hope of winning something as a natinal team.
I agree. A GB team (not U23) would be real contenders imo. Trouble is there's too much nationalistic crap around that will forever consign us to the dustbin of the footballing world. The dinosaurs at the FAW would fight tooth and nail to prevent it.
you can fly up to glasgow in just over an hour and if Richard branson takes over swansea airport it would be perfect
Funny that some of you are citing Ki as evidence that Swansea is a step up from Celtic. Were you aware that Ki was fifth-choice centre-mid here and a lot of fans were glad to be rid of him?
Yes and yes We are glad to have him as he fits in quite nicely from what I have seen so far. But the jury is out until we have seen him play at least 10 games for us
Were you aware that Dyer could hardly get a game in the Championship with Southampton or Sheffield United . Been playing steady ever since he came to Swansea , including his 2nd season in the Premier League . Check back in a couple of seasons about Ki Celticfan , we'll see how we did guy !
