Dai, if you want to talk facts, I know for an absolute nailed on guaranteed, straight from the horses mouth fact that Allen was going nowhere before Rogers wanted him, and to say that he wanted to go to Liverpool under Kenny is calling Joe a liar just to back up your deluded views.

 

So are you saying here as it appear you are, BR didnt actually want to come in for Allen but was actually told to by his bosses.

I'm sorry but the Nuremberg defence ("I was only following orders") doesn't work for me. Part of Rodgers's deal with FSG was that he had complete control. That's why he point blank refused a Director of Football.

Are you seriously suggesting that FSG ordered Rodgers to get Allen? Come off it.

I would say that what SA9 is saying are hard facts, the reason is that he knows joe allen personally, so no yammering and I happen to think he has hit the nail on the head here

Breezy - I understand you're more laid back than most and that's perfectly fine. But please don't say the arguments are against Rodgers are speculation because they aren't. The content of the agreement was well-publicised and borne out by statements released by the Club.

I have to confess that I don't know him personally but my girlfriend does as she is a very close friend of Joe's girlfriend. I've explained how I knew that Joe was indecisive about his move up until the last week so there's no way he always wanted to go.
I've found myself arguing this with Dai countless times but may as well just headbutt the wall, especially as I'm apparently "not very bright".
Dai will argue like hell about something, when he's found out to be wrong he'll disappear for a bit, then bring it up weeks later and argue the same thing again as if he's on his own planet...oh wait

To be honest I think it's you who are speaking rubbish mate, as SA9 has said he has first hand information and is not relying on hearsay and rumour. You haven't given one credible fact over daglish wanting joe at all, I haven't seen anything to back your story up.

 

Sorry valley but i know its a fact. It don't matter to me one way or another whether you or anyone takes my word over it but someones wife having a cup of coffee with Joe allens wife discussing whether joe will go to liverpool or not is laughable......He is at Liverpool. He was always going to join liverpool whether it was for Kenny the man in the moon or whoever was manager.....See if you can speak to any of the players or better still ask Curtis as he was the one who said that Joe would have gone whether Rodgers was here or not....Fact

 

Sorry but your facts have been proved to be a load of rubbish on here, I have seen many of your so called facts coming from speculation in newspapers. I will not believe that joe was wanted by Liverpool prior to Brendan going there. If he was show me one thing to back your claim.
