    Hello, and Good Morning,

Michael Tonge has emerged as another of Neil Warnock’s targets amid on-going efforts to bring a new midfielder to Leeds United.
Tonge could be set for a reunion with Warnock – a manager he played under for seven years at Sheffield United – after Stoke City deemed the 29-year-old surplus to requirements for the first half of their Premier League season. Not exactly a household name, thoughts?

Another Stoke player that has been linked to ER is Mamady Sidibe. Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and Derby County are all interested in taking the Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe on loan, Sky Sports are claiming.

The 32-year-old former Mali International hasn’t played in over two years due to a horror sequence of injuries that almost led to his retirement.

Leeds United have accepted a Football Association charge of misconduct over the tunnel brawl which marred last season’s Championship clash with Doncaster Rovers.
Doncaster have also admitted a breach of FA rule E20(A) following the incident at the end of their 3-2 defeat at Elland Road on February 18.
The game – staged on the day of Neil Warnock’s appointment as Leeds manager – ended in chaos as players from both teams fought in the tunnel shortly after the final whistle.

    Morning.

Tonge looked decent at Sheff United but was behind Pugh at Stoke, so I have mixed feelings on this one. He could play well for Warnock or he could end up warming the bench in 12 months after we sign him and Warnock leaves...

I think he will see out the season, give Tonge a 2/3 year deal in January, then retire to Cornwall.

It's just a joke that we're yet again being linked to people we shouldn't need to be looking at. Teams all around us in this league, be they big or small, are and have brought in better quality. Reason is? because Bates's only ambition is to leave with a suitcase full of cash, instead of investing in the clubs future.

When I think back to Xmas 2010, we were in 2nd place and had been in the top 6 all season. We just needed a couple of quality signings to ensure we got over the line and out of this league. We didn't and we finished 7th. We were on for back to back promotions and would have earned millions in extra revenue from the prem, but Bates saw a different way, and that was selling players and spending £7m on developing the east stand. A development that would only see benefits if the team we were promoted. Crazy idea, waste of cash, white elephant and has caused the club to go backwards instead of forwards. We then had a dire season and looks like we're in for more upset this season, without any quality coming in.

Bates, you should hang your head in shame

    Morning All -

Makes me smile when reading the loan watch thread and who we would all love to see joining on loan then we get linked with two abysmal possibilities. A player who hasn't kicked a competitive ball in two years and a player who has never really made it and who was behind Pugh in the pecking order. Not really a surprise to me, sorry I gave up on this season when the T/O never materialised before the transfer window closed and to be honest I have give up on it altogether. When will we all realise that the ongoing T/O saga is Bates stringing it out in an attempt to avoid the backlash for as long as he possibly can.

Tell you what is a joke, we sign the villian behind the bust up that both Leeds & Donny are pleading guilty to and we pin our hopes on him having a good season to keep us within a shot of the play offs.

One thing is for sure this isnt what Warnock signed up for. Hes been flogged a dead horse & I wouldnt blame him if he walked although I wouldnt fancy someone taking over the team he has been assembling without any money to add there own touches. This is a Warnock team and to stand a chance this season we need him managing it.

    Morning all BTW <ok>

Morning fellow frustrateds, well what can I say? Sidibe would be a pathetic signal to send, can't believe we will sign him, can see him going to a Barnsley or Yeovil to get game time. Tonge is okay, Warnock knows how to get the best out of him. Wasn't the sewer rat involved in the tunnel drama after the Donny game?

YWBK at least you've got something to be happy about. I just spent 6 hours putting Xmas cards in to plastic wallets in what can nicely be called a sweatshop to try and get a job and failed. Hey ho Glad i didn't get it hated every second of it.

On to Footballing matters really Tongue. He had potential years ago but do we want another over the hill player who's only gonna come to get some game time. ~I'd rather have some young gun with a point to prove.

If Warnock is unimpressed with the current goings on, I have to question why he joined in the first place. Did he not know we were a club who is ranked midtable in terms of wage bill and significantly behind the heavy spenders? Did he not know that the previous manager couldn't keep hold of players that he wanted to? Did he not know in general the club receives more in transfer fees than we spend?

After the summer activity the wage bill is probably still very average given how unbelievably small our squad is. We have quality players who have arrived in terms of Kenny, Pearce, Peltier and Austin and have signed White, Lees and McCormack to better deals. I imagine Becchio is on a decent wage, but apart from those mentioned the rest of the squad is very average compared to other clubs in the division.

Warnock lost Snodgrass who he desperately wanted to keep, which is the normal procedure under Ken Bates, Fabian Delph, Jermaine Beckford, Bradley Johnson, Max Gradel, Jonny Howson, etc.

Finally for the 4th time in 6 seasons since the 15 point deduction we have made money in terms of transfer fees this summer. So overall nothing unusual under Ken Bates has happened.

Southy, have a think about the offers Warnock got after QPR. Leeds came along and everyone on every Leeds board was saying he couldn't work with Bates so wouldn't take the job. I was gobsmacked when he came and thought it was the most positive thing Bates has ever done for us. So I started thinking that maybe Bates now realised that he needed to go for promotion at long last.

We then heard Warnock right from day 1 mention that no team of he's would ever perform like that again. He said I'm giving the players a chance to prove that they belong here next season. He said there was going to be wholesale changes next season. He said in future players contracts would be sorted out way ahead as it was criminal leaving it late. ......

So I got to thinking that he must have an understanding with Bates, and when the season finished on that low point, he said he would be bringing in a whole new team in the summer. So Bates must be aware of it, or so I thought.

Maybe Warnock took the job because he expected Bates to be gone by the summer. maybe bates had been in discussions with potential investors at the back end of last season, so Warnock knew he could be getting all the players he wanted. Thats why Warnock mentioned he was on the verge of leaving in the summer, until he met with the new owners. So again expected the old**** to be gone.

Still hanging around though the old fooker isn't he

Only reasons club is still in existence under Bates is the sales of everything bar the kitchen sink over the past seven years. Usually seven figure sums but never a seven figure sum spent on a player. Wish the old bastard would die ....NOW
