Sorry mate but i doubt that even our childrens children will see any sort of humanity. The Muslims are taking over the world mate, they are the fastest growing population/religion and at the present rate will be the largest (numbers) religion worldwide within the next ten years.

So you think people who follow a religion are unintellegent do you? I suppose you believe scientists when they tell you space is infinite as well? How do they know? They've never been there. You see it is a matter of belief. You try to come across as being a reasonable person but in actual fact you are intolerant of others, maybe your pretence is nothing but bullshit. To go back to the original post. I have worked in three Middle East counties (especially Saudi Arabia) so have witnessed first hand how women are treated, not good, butwhen I was there I conformed to the law of that country. Unless and until our laws are changed they should be respected and prosecuted if they break them.
Faith is not a logical or creditable basis for an argument. A child has faith in Santa Claus. And besides, if you have faith in one god, why not in the others? Agree with the second point however.
People talk about how bad Islam is in Pakistan and the Middle East but it's almost normal compared to North African country's such as Libya, Ethiopia, Algeria, Sudan, Somalia and now even Nigeria. It's getting to a point now where Libyan Muslims are dragging people into the middle of the road and cutting there heads of with small knives and in Somalia they are taking woman who are accused of missing prayer and stripping them naked, assaulting them before stoning them to death. Now in Nigeria they are burning Christians to death, one Nigerian website claim thousands of Christians a month are being murdered and tortured in Nigeria. In Pakistan they kill other Muslims (balochs) because they are too dark skinned to coexist with Pakistani's. They are taking too long to build a democracy in some parts of the world.
And I'm not convinced by the WikiIslam link earlier. It does nothing to refute that Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world, it merely casts into doubt the idea that it's missionaries converting new recruits which is the cause of it, and supplies instead that it's the high birth-rate among Muslim parents, as if we didn't know that anyway. The world is polarizing. America is increasingly turning to evangelical Christianity and Islam in backward areas, and deism, atheism and agnosticism (i.e. reason-based beliefs) in developed areas. Developed areas like Western Europe are losing faith. Underdeveloped areas like Africa, the Middle East and Asia are looking towards Islam. It wouldn't surprise me if this religion were the root cause of World War Three. A philosophy as power-hungry as militant Islam isn't simply going to respect the sovereignty of infidels in a couple of decades' time when the countries it grips have armaments and manpower.
I agree, People who are abusing said religion for evil deeds have the potential to become the next Nazi Germany but not all Muslim's subscribe to ideological endeavors so extremism will never be as big as Islam itself and that's why I don't see it as the kind of threat as others might. I would be a little stricter with Islam if it were up to me though. France kind of have the right idea.
Personally, I think the best way to combat evil ideologies is direct action against the actual militants as well as reasonable discussion with the academics/clerics to show how stupid their views are and a healthy dose of parody (that Danish cartoon was a classic in my opinion).
We should ban the muslim faith in this country & close & demolish all mosques, if anyone doesn't like it then head to the nearest air or seaport & leave, I would even agree to the government paying their fare to any country that will have them, one way ticket only.
Many evil acts are carried out in the name of religion. It's not the religion, or the beliefs of the people who have faith. It's the evil people who manipulate these people for their own agenda and then claim its in the name of god. Marrying 12 year old girls.....wrong! but its no more wrong than fiddling with the choir boys or helping Nazi's to escape after the war. Personally I believe in God.....I just don't believe in the organised religions. I'm absolutely certain that the world be a better place without the so called/self appointed religious leaders....most of whom are only leaders because they are fanatics and control mad. That said I do face the SOL on match day and say a little prayer for 3 points!
Got to love TASH the *****phile posting on this subject. The lad who thinks it is ok to post pictures of children and asks "You would wouldn't you!" No Tash I wouldn't. And! If any ****er had touched my daughter I would have skinned them alive and took days doing it bit by bit. I would have probably done the same to anyone posting her image on the internet. Religion of any shape and form, should have no say in law making or public life. That includes the Archbishop of Canterbury who should keep his ****ing nose out of politics. Moslems treat women as possessions, there have been cases in England of their weird parents killing their own daughters for not following their wishes. When religion has more say in peoples lives than common sense, there is little hope for the future of ordinary people. No religion should be subsidised from the public purse. If they can't survive without handouts they shouldn't be encouraged. You have to love Ron L Hubbard.......
