Always had a soft spot for St Pauli. Small club in a red light district with a fanatical support. What's not to like?

So you're another one to follow your company to Germany to avoid being unemployed... tough thing to do, uproot family and move from friends etc.

Me too, I might put a tenner each on Schalke - Champo and Toon - Europa... no doubt I'll lose both but I have the urge.

It's strange a Mackem follows Schalke, If we met do I wind you up or sit and have a drink with ya?

    I like blue.

But really it stems from me absolutely bossing a FM game with them years ago. Sort of followed them ever since, and its grown into a love of them.

Any time you are in Aberdeen though. Hit me up!

My Schalke love comes from my Granddad telling me how lovely Gelsenkirchen was when he lived in Germany, although he lived in Bremen.

Quite like Wolfsburg, stemming from a prolonged save on Football Manager.

Dortmund have what i would say the perfect massive stadium, better than Arsenal's ; far too arty for me, and on that question will we get standing back in stadiums in England?, it can be done has in Germany.

the sooner the better. Not a fan of all-seater stadia. But then Germany hasn't had a Hillsboro or Heysel even though their fans can be every bit as unruly.
