In the PL, it finished on the same day as for transfers. Only in lower leagues do they get a bit longer for loans.
I thought the loan market opened a week or so after the transfer window closed. I thought there was a break in between and only open for a set time but not sure when the dates are this year ? Am I wrong in thinking this ?
It opens for the Football League only, and closes in the November. PremierLeague doesn't have a loan window
Players can go out in the loan window to a championship side or to League One can't they ? Surely some of our surplus players will want to go out if they know now they won't even make the bench ? No one knows the dates then ? Just now until November ? I was sure there were set dates like the transfer window.
Yeah, the likes of Dickson can go out to the Football League should there be interested parties I'm not sure of an exact date, but its usually around the 19th November
Football League clubs can sign players on loan from a week after the transfer window (so now) until some time in November.
The only loan activity we'll have will be Dickson, Chaplow, Forte, De Ridder and maybe some youngsters going out on loan in the next couple of months.
He is only gone for a couple of months whereas the rest are on loan for the season or at least past January when the registration window is back open. So it's technically possible that he could come back and play if we had some mega injury crisis. And because there's space in the squad there's no point leaving him out. PS Fran - FA Cup Second Qualifying Round draw was yesterday and Newport got the plum tie, at home to Dorchester Town, 2nd in the Conference South. So happy days for them.
