Curragh 3.20 Piri Wango 20/1 Like this horse and think he is overpriced, Famous Name will take a bit of beating but I think Piri Wango might surprise a few of them here, the step back up to 1m and return to decent ground should be in his favour. Already posted Harasiya at 9/2
Really looking forward to this race. Been waiting for declaration of war to race for a while now and I'm will be very interested to see how it gets on today!
RV/GGW: Good morning, know what top football fans you both are but here's a bit of the darker side of the sport, I'm afraid. Hooliganism is pretty bad over here sometimes. Doesn't seem too bad down here, but up north it's getting rife (don't know if Oddy would agree there?). Anyway, will have to have a quick second 'early pint' to wash away the gloom after reading this clip. Poor old Pezzoni, blaming one guy for a team's poor performances. Morons? http://www.dw.de/dw/article/0,,16216216,00.html By the way, was very busy yesterday (although found the time to post my usual loser! ) but well done RV on your winners and to you George for doubling-up with Snow Fairy. Great stuff! and to all the other winners too!
Connections supposed to be keen on Renagisha. Bit quirky, unseated AP at the start on first run. Will go well if it goes apparently. 8/1
Brian Hughes gone to Sweden today to ride a horse called your the tops, cant find it any where and Paddy Power arnt covering the meeting, the only one i can find is a course called TABY george baker is there today for a 1m4f flat race not sure if its a dual course if any body knows more please post stay frosty
Afternoon all. Swanny - just read that article mate that is bloody terrible. Can't stand anything like that.- yes fans may get pissed off if the team don't perform to expectations but all should be forgotten afterwards with a few pints - after all it is just a game ffs
It could always be worse. Andrés Escobar was murdered after scoring an own goal when playing for Columbia in the 1994 World Cup. It is alleged that some drug barons lost a heap of cash due to his lapse
4.25 Curragh: Karamaya 12/1 Looked a nice prospect when making a winning debut and I think will improve again today and can upset the applecart. Step up in trip right in her favour too. 3.20 Curragh: Declaration of War 7/2- Really nice prospect, concern being he might need the run. Can trouble Famous Name though if wound up.
Good afty all... Without turning the thread into a football forum that is such a bad thing to happen to a young lad in Germany, and i just hope that the great leaders of the game, Sepp Bladder and Michelle Platuna, get involved somehow... We know they will as its for the good of the game... Well done to all the winners yesterday and over the weekend, some good calls made, shame i didnt hit the heights of the other posters... Anyway for today i like Tae Kwon Do at Fontwell in the 4.45...
never too early for a pint swanny but that really is shocking. I thought the fans in the Bundesliga (sp) were meant to be some of the best too. If he's any good at the back then send him over to us we're a few men light. Hope and think Nahrain can get into the mix today. 5/1. No bet today but i'll watch the Irish stuff couple of tasty 2yo races.
Afternoon all . Just one for me today. Colour of love looks interesting in the 2-55 at York. Difficult to gauge the Irish sprint form but his recent record looks pretty good to me and 25/1 is huge. Good luck all - and if you're tempted to beat up the donkey who shipped 3 goals for your favourite football team the other week remeber it's just a bloody game! Oh and if you send him some dog turd in the post he won't know it was you.
Afernoon Starkey will have a dabble on that one and DECLARATION OF WAR my only bet today - sick of famous name winning - I try and get him beat every time
I remember the match RV and that Columbia had a decent team at that tournament with Valderrama,Rincon,Asprilla etc. Never imagined murder would be the upshot to the game in question.
Lovely performance from the Oxx filly there and nice to see Niall McCullough ride the filly out fully with several reminders. I stopped backing the stables newcomers when Murtagh began expanding his portfolio of late closing hands and heels rides in these sort of races .
I remember Newcastle came to Parkhead, Ruud Gullit's Barmy Army was the chant, dont remember anything about the game, must have been a pre season friendly, but always remembered that chant for some reason. Random outburst of the day.
Any thoughts in the 2yo race? I wonder if Seeking Luck ran into one of Coolmore's smarter 2yo LTO but im not playing
Another nail in the Reckless Abandon form. Wouldn't be like godolphin to buy a pig in a poke....would it?
That Cougar Ridge looks a lovely prospect. Big strapping sort, nice stride, still green, will improve up to a mile I should think.
