So to summarize Leeds main rivals are : Bradford, York, Watford and Rotherham That's about their level
as already commented, its too small a survey for the stated rivals of an individual club to be statistically significant. If it averages 13 responses per club, that probably means some smaller clubs only had 1,2 or a small handful of responses, hence the odd results for some clubs. As someone who regularly studies proper scientific studies, I can see other problems - just one: this was 1200 fans who responded: how many were asked to respond? If 1201 were asked to respond that makes it more meaningful than if 999,999 were asked and only 1200 bothered. No statement of how the fans were selected to avoid bias, is another one (if they were all under 25, they would be more likely to answer much more on current form and league opposition than old tossers like me who still remember certain actions by so called fans wearing red from the 1960's. The most offensive and least offensive lists have a bit more meaning, though still with question marks. If I was a Millwall fan (an unlikely proposition, but stay with me on this) I would be gutted to be only number 7 on the "most hated" list, below the mighty West Ham United and Leeds. (If Millwall are not truly hated, what are they any more?...... just another nonentity of a L1/Championship yoyo team of no consequence - they need to raise their game . Its a comment on human nature that all the "least offensive" teams are ones with about as much chance of winning anything important as I have of winning £160m on the euromillions. And with the notable exception of almost no one except Leeds, all those at the top of the most hateds list are in the Prem today and / or with money behind them (no danger of that charge being thrown at Leeds, on either count, I fear).
****ing hell that's a ****e survey. I'm a Leeds fan and even I know that Luton are Watford biggest and most traditional rivalry. And Spurs hate West Ham alot more than they hate Chelsea. Most Leeds fans don't give a **** about Millwall, we see you like the rest of the football world does. Turk loving scum. We certainly don't really care about Sheffield either. In reality most Leeds fans would say 1. Manure 2. Chelsea 3. Galatasary then all the Yorkshire "derbies" but we aren't really rivals with them. There more like charities matches since all the money they get from Leeds massive away following packing out their usually empty stadiums.
Most Man U and Chelsea fans have forgotten who Lil Ole Leeds are though. Biggest Leeds crowds in last few season have been against..........................................y ep - the rival you fear the most
Ha thats a play off game. could have been against bodmin town and we'd still have sold out. especially because theyd have brought more away fans to contribute to the attendance...
By the way, something like 110 Leicester fans were asked in this on FoxesTalk Ah well, it's not official, but at least it's a rough guide. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/80910-rivalry-survey/page__hl__ rivalry survey
"Leicester City fans believe Leeds United (41.18%) are the biggest club outside the Premier League. Leicester City received 38.66% of their own fans' vote." Glad you know your place.
You are very strange. It's clear you are the biggest club in the league. Yet you absolutely jizz every time anyone says it. A few more seasons in this division and that'll be history though
Yeah sorry, I'll stop being proud of the fact that my city and my team are loved across the UK and beyond by people with no blood connection to it. I'll just focus on the number of interceptions by wingers per game, or whatever statistic it is that makes NP's Leicester look the best in the division.
Fantastic survey - very credible- well done to you TC and all your brilliant work- its like one of those adverts 79% of 34 people surveyed agreed it was better.
