Good to see it reported on club website that David Vaughan is starting to get some playing time under his belt on his way to getting back into the 1st team squad.

I know his last couple of first team appearances were not his best, but I still feel he is a MON type player and with a run of games could still prove effective in the middle of our midfield.

A friend of mine who is a Blackpool fan still maintains he was top player for them in their season in the EPL.

At very least he will give us another option in the midfield conundrum

Yeh he is good enough to be in our squad and can be relied on I for one will not be dissapointed if he is in our stating line up when required <bubbly>

I like that he looks to pick a forward pass and can chip in with the odd goal too, he did make quite an impact when he initially came into the side last time was it against Stoke?

But like any player he needs a run in the side if we are to see the best of him.

he's neat and tidy, keeps the ball well for the most part and has more experience than our other midfielders which helps in games where we may be one or two up and need to keep possession, but i don't think he offers enough going forward to warrant a starting spot...

I think Vaughan will become a good squad player under O'Neill, however I do believe he favours Meyler and Gardner and therefore I would imagine next summer or even January, he may look at selling him to accumulate money for other transfers

Think most of us see some quality in him, and definitely worth another chance, be interesting to see if he stakes a genuine claim over coming months.
