If the Celtic support thought Victor Wanyama was a good player. I told him we were 100% behind him. He has his frailties, but for his age that's to be expected. But his abilities outshine his years. Does anyone out there think he's not the real thing? Never easy with such a young player to say how they will progress, but this bhoy I think has more promise than most. In the next few years you could easily see him up there with one of the CL champions.
Aye he's far from the finished article and seems awkward to me sometimes and a bit rough round the edges but with good coaching, which he will get, he has the potential to be a top player for the Hoops for a long time to go. He looks like a class act at times
He's been an unbelievable find for us and appears to possess all the physical attributes to be a top player. So far so good but only time will tell if he has the footballing brain to learn from experiences and progress to the next level.
Too good for the SPL, perhaps not quite there in CL (yet). Think in the future he'll be a very good player, hopefully we'll have him around for a few years yet to see him become that player.
By no means the finished article but he has all the tools. It really is quite a responsibility to bring him through. I imagine it is hugely satisfying to be a part of that development.
He is a player of exceptional strength and ability. Even in a comparatively short time with Celtic he has come on great. In the SPL he plays with aa confident swagger which I don't think he has been able to transfer yet to Europe. Probably with a good season in the Champions League he will develop his self confidence and become a great player. Hopefully he has the wit and wisdom to agree a new contract with Celtic as playing for us for another 2/3 years will certainly make him the complete finished article. Better been a big fish with good coaches than training amidst a big squad where he doesn't stand out and isn't noticed.
I think he's tremendous talent but unfortunately we will not see him at his very best when he reaches his prime at 27 or thereabouts as he will be long gone by then. I'm willing to bet in years to come we will watch him strut his stuff for a huge club and wish we could have kept hold of him like we did with Henke. Imho he has the potential to be a world class player.
