    I bumped into Motherby the other week and he suggested I give the AN forums a bash, which I did. They're better than CI for non-******ed posts, but both are just way too quiet for me to be bothered checking more than once a week.

    The AN news items are far better than CI though.

    however you will not any of the 4 wearing a foam hand to type. the ongoing trail of warwick tiger's missing tiger head in china was one of the funniest threads ever created on any forum anywhere

    This is true. Some of the stuff on there is hilarious, some proper funny posters.

    I tend to avoid the politics of it, it's not for me, but there's good humour to be found.

    I don't post on there myself, I think I'm too young (it certainly seems an older crowd) but I read it with amusement.

    City Independent is a very interesting forum it is mostly made up from the old school fans such as myself.
    I enjoy it.

    karlberg I know, nice lad, but not a clue who everyone else is though. If they are all "old school" I'll probably know them all. Haven't seen anyone posting who sounds like Farrow. Fact remains, the forum is dull and hardly any posts on it.

    Surprisingly, it's nothing like last time I looked. There seems to be a decent amount of activity on there. Maybe I last checked pre-season or something.

    Did i say they did? Was that part of my arguement?

    I am just saying they are as bad as them.....

    Why do you hate Murdoch? Is it jealousy that someone has made so much money or something? Whether you like it or not he and his press are here to stay, maybe worth living with it? It does get tiring. I am not a huge fan of his but by god i don't moan at every oppurtunity about it.

    Gotta say the most amusing *EXCLUSIVE* CI had surrounded the appointment of Steve Bruce, the moment Nick BARMBY was sacked they were harping on about Mick McCARTHY getting the job, and dispelled all other suggestions claiming everyone else had it worng and that the deal was as good as done according to them, then about a week before it was formerly anounced they switched to Steve Bruce, sadly this was behind everyone else in reporting it, but still they claimed the *EXCLUSIVE* for naming SB as our new manager before anyone, living in Cloud Cuckoo land me thinks, fraid I stopped believing in their hype thereafter

    I guess it all depends on what you're looking for in a forum, however, unless of course you're a happy clapper, imho there really is no choice other than CI or AN, they're the best by a country mile!

    CI - they only have about ten regular posters and they're all hard core - be it politics or City... happy clappers they're certainly not..

    I was on CI for a bit, still am as Cage Tiger, but opinions and claims seem to be shot down on sight...

    I didn't enjoy posting on that board, found myself arguing with EGD all the time but maybe that's just because they're the 'old skool' fans that take great pride in certain opinions.

    I now just read that board as I get the impression that they don't like 'outsiders' so I just keep clear...

    CI is the virtual equivalent of an old, ****ty run down back street pub full of bigots and miserable old bastards who harp on about the golden olden days, and reminisce of a good honest scrap with other fans, while they drink mild and slowly piss themselves. All 10 of them think they know more about the club, football in general and everything else ever than anyone else alive. No one else is a true fan, they can't be, they aren't with them.

    Anyone else popping in gets scowled at and the pack descends upon them til they are back to being alone, laughing at each others amazing stories.

    It should be called Clique Independent.

    I go there to laugh at them sometimes, but it gets boring usually within 10 mins max.
