Morning all, I have no doubt there will be a statement regarding the takeover and it will mention the fact that talks are on going and the board can see no reason why things wont be finalised by the end of the year. This is because the window is now closed and no money has to be spent. Once the new year comes and the window opens the takeover will "meet with complications" only to kinck back in around the beginning of February (Window closes again!) and so on and so. This way Bates can say "We wont be investing heavily as a takeover is imminant" and you can rest assured he will dine out on that line for another 2 years at least or until his demise - I'll let you guess which one I hope is sooner!!!
Bates wont take us into admin. Why would he? He'd lose all assets and be banned from football (at last!) Surely it would make sense to accept the mega bucks bid. But this is bates we're talking about..
